Wife just bought a Colt LE6940 and it looks like a decent gun. ... :D

Just curious where is the best place on line to get quality high capacity magazines (30 rds or more) at a good price ?

She bought some (limit of 2) 20 rd. Colt magazines at dealer for $25.00 each. ...

Thanks for any info. ... :D

PS ... Maybe I will buy her a scope for it .. any ideas there ? ...

Thanks, she actually bought 2 guns today (before arms embargo starts). I told her I would do some shooting with her if she bought her own guns and she did.

    She got a good deal on a S&W M&P 9mm too. I believe it came with 3 - 17 round mags too. She got the S&W 9mm for about $450.00 and the LE6940 for about $1,400.00 with 2 - 20 end. mags.

I am looking for a scope and higher capacity magazines for her for her new Colt AR-15.

Yep, but she very rarely spends money. She was just concerned that perhaps, she will never be able to buy this stuff again.

She is really getting into home defense after a couple we know were in a "home defense shootout" in a good part of town several years ago.

She kept saying ... "I will buy something next week" ... until the proposed gun limit bills started surfacing. ...

And I was telling her ... "it is now or never" ... so we spent the whole day ... gun shopping ... ;)

pmags are the best but good luck finding them now. I think they retail for $15, but don't spend a penny over $30 in this market. I think that's still a decent price considering that's what they cost when they first came out.

S&W still has 30 round pmags for $20 here...

    http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/...58016_757846_757837_ProductDisplayErrorView_N

Thanks to tigerfan00 for first alerting us to this deal earlier in this thread. They do have "M&P" stamped on the side but as long as that doesn't bother you you're fine, since the mags are otherwise identical to the generic 30 round pmags.

Thanks for all of the info. Oh, she did get a cool laser on the 9mm. I did't really look closely at it yet, but battery is in the grips and it looks like the laser is perhaps built into pistol.

Will look at it closer tomorrow and the laser cost extra and was above the $450.00 pistol price. Maybe $300.00 extra for the laser, but not sure ? Will get to see all the stuff tomorrow.

Since I got out of the military ... I was not much into guns, but am now starting to get more involved once again ... mainly for home defense.

I just ordered some 30 round magazines for wife's AR-15 and it looks like S&W ordering section has not been updated since mid-December.

IIRC, it stated something like orders must be received by Dec. 17, to be shipped by Christmas ...

Maybe they are like many big manufacturing companies (and gov't too) ... shut down main lines ... Christmas through New Years ... and only have a skeleton crew in the office.
