can you take a pic of the inside of your headlight assembly?

I didnt move anything over when I swapped my stocks for these clears

 

ahh, yeah- that's how mine are. strange, my small sockets worked on it- there should be a small size that fits

sorry, I have no idea how to get the plastic pieces off the stock ones- but I'd assume they should twist off

 

one time I loaned out my socket set....

And I used a pair of pliers and kleenex to adjust them....hahaha

 

Do you remember who you bought your headlights from on ebay? I bought a set and tried everything to get them open. I even tried 285 bake convention and leaving it on with the headlight in the oven. Still did not come apart . Thanks

but they should open, especially with that high of a heat- theyre a real bitch to get off

did you start at the corner with a flat head?

 

Yea, I think my problem was that it had perm-a-glue in it... No problem for the dermal though Thanks

 

One last request, Could you add a pic (if you have one) of the back of the headlight with the rubber grommet on?

 

mine were a pain in the ass to take off aswell took me a few hours.

Sorry man, I havent been on here as much. Only home for 2.5 weeks, so these last few days have been busy

I flipped the rubber boot outwards and slid the wires/connectors for the projector/HID's through the opening

sweet, this is the thread Ive been looking for. Slowly gaining the confidence to do this, I think I just need to see all the parts and get after it. I didn't know the shroud had 4 screws to attach to the projector. I was planning on using a silicone of some kind to glue/reinforce parts together. It sounds like you can just hit the outside of the lens to be safe with extra silicone? any specific type tho?

The minis do have screws attaching the shrouds. I think other types are not the same. As far as what type of silicone to use, it doesn't really matter. Just regular old silicone will do fine. I just put a bead of it around the seams and then ran my finger across it to clean it up.

I should also say the screws are for the gatling gun shrouds. Other styles may need to be glued on.
