Suppose I should show off the whole shell instead of just rust spots lol

I absolutely love my leer XR with power locks. My only wish is that leer should have made a sliding screen window like snug top. Reinstalling that mesh for camping is a pain in the ass.

You'll like the Rebel. I've had mine for two weeks...like it a lot. Same options minus pet screens 1800 here in Spokane.

I will be getting a Snugtop Rebel installed this Friday. I have two questions which I hope the great members here will be able to answer

    1. Can I install more Toyota Bed Cleats after I get the shell installed? Unfortunately, someone stole two of my bed cleats. So I only have two right now.

    2. I have an ATO hi-lift mount installed. Can I keep this without getting in the way of the shell mounts?

    Thanks in advance.

I believe Leer has only four points where it is attached to the bed rail. Snugtop attaches at six points. Correct me if I am wrong.

Yea leer only connects at 4 points...
I'm running a leer XR with ATO hilift mounts and the bed cleats without issue.

You can install the bed cleats after the top is installed.

Been doing some cap shopping lately and have read through some of the posts here. I know a lot of people are fans of the windoors, which look like a great option but I have two concerns before spending $250 on them.

    1. I'm a short guy at 5'7". With the windoor open will I really be able to reach stuff in the front of my bed? If so will I be scratching the side of my truck with constant use?

    2. Also, at some point we'll be adding a dog to the family soon so the factory pet screens seem like a good idea. Anyone have any experience with them? I'm assuming the 1/2 sliders on the XR with pet screens are a better choice than riding down the road with the windoors open?

Anyone have any experience with Ranch caps?

    Thanks in advance!

This is precisely why I didn't get windoors on the sides. I'm way too clumsy to not bang crap off the side of my truck. I have sliders with screens. My dog rides in the cab with me, but it's nice to have screens in case I ever want to sleep back there or just to air it out if I toss wet stuff in the back.

I have vented windoors on mine. I love them. I havent scratched my bedsides after a year, and I'm only 5'10". The best use I have found for them is stuffing gear in for a camping trip. You can actually fill little voids with stuff. I have 2 dogs, which is why I had to get the vented ones. As far as I know, Snugtop and ARE are the only ones that make them for a shortbed. I liked the snugtop dealer better so I went with them. The vented portion is pretty small, but it allows enough air to get in.
Heres a few pics of mine.
Here you can see how big of an opening it is.
I just saw you were a long bed. Disregard my shortbed whining.
