The thing is, I dont think there is really a spot where we could all post up and have luch like that. Monkeyproof had a good idea about bbq'ing after at the picnic place.

However, this is far in advance so I can put this in my planner. And I'm moving back home with the parentals in the IE so I'm positive I can make it... :)

You guys should change the time to an earlier time because Cleghorn gets busy...and if we end up having like 20 trucks up there it will get packed pretty quick! It can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours to get completely through the entire trail. At least thats how long it's taken us in 4WD when we do every single bypass!

I recommend you guys also learn to Air Down properly so you can have a smooth ride and not a hard bumpy one! Also once all the uphill bypasses have been complete all the downhill bypasses can be completed by a 2WD/Pre-Runner!!! And I recommend every one give it a try just because it's so much fun!

If you guys want to check out more pictures of Cleghorn just hit up my website! I have tons of pictures from our past runs!

good advice Marlon! also, having the right recovery gear is essential...

    • recovery strap that's suitably rated.."tow strap" does not count
    • viable recovery point, front and rear of your Taco
    • shackles/D-rings
    • working spare tire w/proper tools to change it, including jack
    • basic tools
    • first aid kit
    • water/food
    • fire extinguisher
    • heavy duty work gloves
take heart to this rule of thumb when off roading...

    Plan For an Entire Day
    !

even though this trail only takes just a few hours...plan appropriately! you never if you or your buddy will have a mechanical failure, or get involved in a vehicle recovery/extraction that may take several hours to fix or complete. so have the right gear, food/water, and the right clothing for changing weather/temperature.
