Manuel Hubs

Anyone put Manuel locking hubs on there taco. I know the earlier 90's tacos came with them but havent ever seen a newer taco with them on there.

My thoughts are hopefully they would improve gas milage and greatly increase the life of my front end?

 

Did you search TTORA? I'd think there'd be a lot of people over there that have done it....

 

i think the money you would spend would almost cancel out the money you would save on gas and parts. The drag thats placed on the truck now is negligable. i mean maybe if you kept the truck for twenty years you might earn back the loot you spent on the conversion. But i think the parts would be more prone to breakage over th toyota parts.

HAHA ya I didnt think there would be a very good pay off in it. And who wants to have to get out and lock in their hubs when its cold or rainy outside lol

 

I put manual hubs on my 01, it was a fairly easy bolt-on using Toyota parts.

I picked up all the parts for a few hundred bucks, off a taco that did an SAS.

There are pros and cons, but for my needs the way to go.
