Cool! thanks for the info. Is there any way I can get a picture of a newer stock Tacoma with that size tire on it? I went to a tire place and rolled one out next to my truck but hard to say. Also does that size tire compared to the stock 245/75/16 change the MPG much?

the 265/75 doesnt change MPGs much. if you go bigger it take a big dive. you can go to 265/75 and find a LIGHT tire it won't change much.

as long as you don't stray far from the efficient area of your power band (gears) its all about WEIGHT

Ok cool, I guess I might as well burn up the tires that came on it first but when I have to get new I will get the larger tire.

    Of course it does.

Longer control arms exaggerate any lift/drop or differences in... uhh... calibration?

Guess the colder weather (talking 40s-50s since it's Florida) dropped my tire pressure. No wonder the ride was so cushy.

Aired the front up to 30 and the rear up to 28 since I never haul anything. We'll see how it does - should get better mileage anyway.

My bone stock '13 Base, 5-speed. Nothing much....though I have a couple things planned for it.

I plan on leaving at stock height. I just got the windows tinted the other day and plan on some OEM style fogs...maybe in yellow...not sure. Once the stock tires are shot I think I'll go with at least a 225/70 or maybe a 235/70. I'll probably do a bug shield too.

Awesome truck^. I've only seen one step side in person anyway, coincidentally is a (mighty fine looking) chick in my apartment complex, same color but access cab. Almost brought me to tears watching her trying to wax it in 100* heat, direct sunlight, with thick globs of Turtle Wax. You can still see it on there haha, knew she had zero chance of removing it.. basically baked on.

Did a little offroad test on a trail that should have been easy.. but not knowing it, and ~8" of snow.. made it kind of difficult. Not going to try that one again until spring.

Thanks man! I was really tempted to spend a day jacking up truck, removing wheels, cleaning thoroughly and prepping, then painting. By the time this idea rolled around, it was in the 20's every day. I also don't have a hose (apartment complex). I don't think my floor jack is big enough either and the thought of using a block of wood kind of made me nervous.

Anyway, all of that combined (oh yeah, not knowing if I'd like a flat finish, though I knew I didn't want a real shiny finish), lead me to just plasti-derp them. Love the finish and they've held up REALLY well. Any imperfections occurred immediately, like after their first trip around town. I did it on a freakishly warm 50* day, but I think it'd be best to do it in the summer honestly. They've survived lots of snow, a thousand miles of road grit, and offroading today through chunks of ice - look the same as they did after their maiden voyage. Used shopping bags stuffed in wheel to block brake components and 3 cans. 4 would have been better IMO.

How does this 4-banger do up at that elevation? I'm considering getting one.

Looks badass! Might have to Plasti-Dip my wheels, too.

Have you tried removing it yet to see if it comes off without any residue left behind? I've removed it from a few things and just had to some minor cleanup of the slimy residue it left behind.
