im new to the site. i bought a used 09 tacoma in march this year. its a 5spd manuel, 4cyl, reg cab, 2wd.
i've had standard tranny's almost all my life, but never a tacoma. i love the truck(wish i bought alteast a extended cab) but the tranny seems like its hard to shift. Its been that way since i got it. i drive it a lot also, it had 23k on it in march and has 43k on it now. just wondering if this a normal characteristic of the tacoma manuels or something to look into.
i'm a truck driver and to me it feels like a shift fork is bent or something of that nature. its never gotten worse or better. nor seems like anything else is wrong. just kinda hard shifting into and out of gear.
any input is appreciated. love the site and looking forward to learning more on here.
also its a prerunner sr5 package. larger tires then the normal size taco's.

Hard to shift like its notchy?
If you double clutch it does that help?

The 5 spd is normally butter soft.

also getting it into first gear when rolling. like slowing down seems almost impossible. it just won't go in most of the time. doesn't seem to help either if i rev it up a little to try and match the rpm and the speed.
