    hard to tell with the pic provided in the OP but it looks like there are a hell of a lot of threads showing above the coil collar and the UCA are angled down quite a bit... which means too much preload on the coils and therefore a poor ride quality

    oh, and the Icon stage 4 system is not a lift kit... it's a performance suspension system designed to work best off road

    E rated tires on a small truck like we have is also a lot for the road, I like to run C rated!

    shouldn't change the ride comfort, but after tightening the shocks 10 turns, did you get an alignment?

    I was able to rip my truck for over 80 miles on dirt this weekend and I have to admit. These shocks are the real deal. I hammered them hard and had a huge grin ear to ear. Id recommend for sure.

    I have had my kit on for a few months now, dropped it a bit since then, but I had it up pretty high at first to level out the 3" AP leaf pack in the rear. For all intents and purposes I have the exact same setup you do, and I hope you didn't buy this with the idea it is going to ride like a Cadillac on the street. Take it in the woods and hit some bumps at 50+, you should know the difference over stock.

    Havent read all the responses. But with time the springs will soften up. Also, the shocks get smoother once the fluid warms up to operating temp which will happen off roading.

    ICONS are a 2:1 ratio. Every .5in is 1in of lift. im figuring that out with my new setup cause i hate my new ICONS due to a rebound clunk going over bumps but so im still trying to dial in the suspension.

    I put Icon regular travel c/o's and non-resi rear shocks, with an Icon AAL on my 2013 at about 4000 Kms (2500 miles). I left them adjusted as they are from the Icon factory, and got a bit less than 2" lift.
    After 5000 km I have to say they have softened up a bit and are much more comfortable on the street. That was highway and city driving, combined with about 1000 km of off-road. They feel very nice now, but are not marshmellows by any means.
    Just put Icon UCAs on last week, aligned her up, and it is even better.

    You won't really realize how good they are (after break-in) until you ride in a stock Taco. Buddy has a 2013 with nothing done. Back breaker compared to mine.

    Hang in there with the Icons. They are the best. :woot:

    505YOTA how much droop travel do you have? Wondering if the clunk is coming from the actual shock, or is it that the suspension is cranked up a little on the high side and you are hearing the suspension topping out.

    Let me know so we can work out a solution if it is the actual shock.

    This isn't the first time I've seen this...Icon coming in here and trying to make customers happy. I can't recall the last time I've seen a King or Fox rep in here helping customers diagnose shock problems...

    This is just one of the many reasons why I'll be choosing Icon over the others...if I can ever afford them. :D
