Was doing a build and noticed a bunch of leaves hidden behind the lower front fender liner..between the fender and body...potential rust trap. If you park near trees you should check this area out!!!!

Yup... been a few threads on it, but it always bears reposting.

In front of the doors, there's a black plastic flap.
Lift the flap and you'll find the crap that's fallen down there.

You can also access it from behind the mudflaps (or black boxes).

Adding some mesh under the cowling will help prevent this.

If you trim flares and liner it opens this area, makes it much easier to clean.

Ya... might want to avoid pulling on that flap or dismounting the mudflaps/black boxes when it's that cold.

I found out the hard way what happens when you toss a traffic cone off the back of a truck when it's +15^f.

Found this spot on my '13 yesterday because the door was hitting the rubber gasket/cover to this hidden area. Full o' leafage! Good spot to hide "stuff" from cops if that's what your into!

Also good place to burst in flames when you're doing a cab mount chop with a plasma torch.

Keeping that area clean eliminates the mulchy smell inside the cab when the leaf debris warms up after it rains.

I had an ant infestation that I couldn't find the source of until I looked in these spots. Cleaned them out and sprayed some killer in there and good bye ants. They fill up rather fast.

My old faithful caravan had a trap on the pax side.
If you didn't know it, it was hard to spot.
