Think I may have made a mistake.....

...When i bought my cap. I got a leer 180. It's everything I want, except for one thing. I should have got a comercial one. The normal ones can only hold around 250 pds. I was thinking on a rooftop tent, but my cap may not hold the weight...how much weight have you guys put on yours? Just curious.....

 

put the rooftop tent over your roof instead.

 

I could, I just didn't want to do that. i was going to put the tent on the back and put a rack with lights and other things on the roof...definitely should have paid closer attention on that one....my fault...

Check this build out, there is a solution in there but it may be more expensive than replacing the cap.

 

I have a mid rise...that rack won't fit over it...i'll have to take some time and decide whether i want to sell it or not....

 

Have you thought about putting a RTT on a trailer?

 

Put your tent on the ground?

well that would be plan b...I've been using a clark jungle hammock and after sleeping in that thing, you get kind of spoiled....
