Hey everyone I am looking nto buying an rc truck or buggy just to have some fun with. I like the look of the axial terra buggy. Would this be a good investment for a beginner?

A toy u us special!!! Haahaahaahaa.

My first R/C was the axial Wraith, then the Traxxas Slash, then Axial SCX10 rtr then the Axial Scx10 kit, last is the ridge crest.

Future R/C. Axial Rubicon then the Traxxas Summit

Everything looks good except that ride height lol. You'll be able to take turns a lot faster once you get it down but it sure does look fun!

Yeah, looks like its hard to keep the front end down on it now, can't imagine with another 4.2 volts.

Well ride height cant be brought down unless i get another swing arm, one is fubared and where its at is where its staying, iv adjusted on the towers as much as i could. I never flipped it surprisingly, with the 2 2s 5000mah it brings the ride height wayy down, the torque keeps it up tho.

A wheelie bar is a must add on it, esp before I try 5s or 6s just to do standing backflips :D

Since your new and if i were you, I would personally go with the RTR version.
I believe it will save you a lot of time and energy in the long run.

x2 on get a rtr. The exo is a good vehicle but is not a budget kinda build, you would just be wasting money throwing cheaper stuff in it.

I have both a rustler vxl and a exo, imo the exo hands down, the rustler is only good for speed runs on a road, offroad its pretty useless. it really comes down to what are you gonna use it for.

rustler to exo is like apples to oranges, 2 totally different things.
