dont go local. look around on here and see what you like. then you can find them on Amazon or something like that unless you want led's and then hop on a group buy if one is going on.

Anyone from near Montgomery, what's the word on this place: http://truckcustomsinc.com/ ? I'm somewhat new to the area (military, ft rucker) and trying to decide if its worth it to have them do a lift. I would like to do it myself but I have no experience. Probably an ome lift. Thanks.

No, I didn't get the truck yesterday. Going to talk with my insurance agent and see how much Full Coverage will be a month before I get it. I drove it and it has a vibration, but I think it's because of the wheels being outta balance. It is going to need the timing belt and water pump replaced, so whenever someone will be available, I will have a 6 pack and some food ready. It will have to be on a weekend though.
I looked at the crossmember and it didn't look to be cut, so hopefully I can take that DB lift off and go with a milder 3" lift and replacing the leafs in the rear. The truck had a SERIOUS block in the rear and I cringed when I saw it! lol It drove straight and I liked how it road while I was driving it. I didn't feel any driveline vibrations, but I couldn't really tell because of the wheels being outta balance.
First order of business though is going to be getting rid of the front and rear ranch hand bumpers and steps. I will be replacing with an ARB front bumper, winch, relentless rear bumper with a hitch incorporated in it. I am not sure what sliders I am going to go with. Do I want one with a kickout or one without. I know I am going to get it welded on regardless if it's a bolt on or not because I don't want to be drilling holes in my frame.
It's got aftermarket moto metal wheels and he still has the original sport rims which is a PLUS because I love those rims. It already has 33's w/about 50% tread life left on cooper discoverer s/t's. I will be getting some km2's in 33's for my trail tire and some bfg at's as my street tire.
If y'all want pics let me know and I can post the ad here.

I am just assuming but kickouts keep the rocks from rubbing the tires and rims right????

I personally like the look of them but mine a quite wide compared to some of the vendors on here. But I use them more for really tight spots where I may rub against anything.. Don't use them on purpose but they have saved my ass many a times against trees in which when it hits or scrubs against the tree it pushes the truck away enough at least so the rear bumper will catch the tree and keep it off my bed.. But I'm also going to try my hand at making some first gen tube fenders soon to connect the slider and rear bumper together as well as the slider to the front bumper & big enough to tuck 35-36's
