Toyota has refused all responsibility for the melting DTRL's

Apparently the origami tailgates were improved

 

If i had the dtrl, id leave them on till the truck burnt to the ground on the highway..

 

perhaps the 06-09 did have drls but somethimg sure did change in their plastic or lamp . in any event toyotas fucking a bunch of us regardless of the politics. and if toyo does monitor these forums maybe they cherypick what there gona repair. hate to say it but i think alot of us are gona be replacing them on are own. best case scenario im wrong.

 

It's not Toyota, it's your dealer.

The dealer service department is who decides if something will be repaired under warranty or not.

 

My wiring harnesses for both my daytime running lights are burnt to a crisp . I am very suprised the truck hasnt burnt to the ground .Suprisingly ,I dont know how the bulbs still function . Ive got a command start and fire the truck up in the garage when its cold in the morning . I would hate to see the truck burn my friggen garage down .

 

Serously? They do that? Where can I read bout this GM info you know of?

I wonder if they frequent the 'Funny Pictures' of the forums while at work.

 

i disagree re; its the dealers fault . if your a dealer and your not 100% shure your gona get reimbursed by toyota what incentive does he have to make hundreds of repairs. toyota corporate is calling the shots. remember the majority of the affected are well passed 3/36000 warranty.

 

It was on the news a few months ago.

But it has always been somewhat obvious that there is a presence. Features/problems discussed on popular forums are suddenly implemented, or in the case of members on Dieselplace, dealerships apparently haveing advance knowledge of modifications done by members when they go in for service.

 

Well of course if the truck is out of warranty it's not going to be covered.

But if it's in warranty and the dealer is refusing to perform the repair, that is a problem with the dealer, not Toyota.
