Unichip may be a good candidate for you

Doesn't look like they make a unichip for the 2.7's just 4.0's

Actually that is not 100% correct. I used to work VERY close with Dastek in South Africa and the unichip got its name from being a universal chip. We installed a unichip on a 2007 Suzuki GSXR 1000 too. You can sodder the unichips wire into the trucks ECU. Now if there is a schematic for the wireing for your trucks ECU its as easy as just tapping into those wires. If youd like I can get you in contact with the Brains behind the Unichip here in the USA. Their HQ is in Origon.

The unichip, with the install and the dyno tune with run you a few 100 bux but it is soooo well worth it. i had it on a 2002 tundra and i gained 7RWHP. I know it doesnt sound like much but I could seriously feel the differance. I could get the truck out the line and up to the limiter which was 110mph in no time and I am a mile above sea level.

Great product, lot of leg work but you will not be disapointed....

Oh and btw, DO NOT go for the generic map should you be offered one, rather go to an approved tuner for a custom tume on a dyno.
