So Leon taught you the ol soggy carpet trick Get that out and dried ASAP. I would also disconnect the battery and wire harnesses for a day or two then throw on some dielectric grease before plugging them back in.

Well so far I've had to replace the starter, alternator, rear main, and transmission.

Lee was trail leading and I was near the end of the pack. My girlfriend Sarah wanted me to go through the puddle, and being the awesome boyfriend I am, I complied with her request.... Then we started floating. Thank God we didn't get stuck like the ford did!

We will probably run into you in the pines over the summer.

 

Lol^ black wire goes to white wire. Green wire doesnt do anything, just their to confuse you.

Yikes! A total new tranny was needed or just fluid? Those swamps have eaten many a truck. I lost a starter + every pulley. One meet we had 2 guys blow alternators out at basically the same time So many stucks back there it's crazy. Some of those holes will literally swallow trucks.

You see, Alex wanted to try a theory testing the viscosity of swamp water vs. transmission fluid. Turns out, they are not the same... It was purely for science. He also learned about the less bouyant properties of a vehicle.

Those trails pretty much cost me a new front end worth of "wear" parts and multiple times with water in the cab.
