i’m taking it you are in NY? how much snow is around where you are?


10” to 12” near buffalo. and they expecting more in the next few days. i’m hoping as soon as i get there, there is a big snow storm!

 

I would say 14-18 on the ground here in Rochester. I would expect Buffalo to be the same. It's coming down pretty good now, I would say we are in for another 3-4" tonight at this rate. I LOVE IT!

 

nice! weather channel says it’s snowing in hamburg(about 25 min or so from buffalo) i can’t wait to go, i’m already packing some stuff up. I LOVE SNOW!

^this....No, joking aside, I might have you stand away from your gun outside your vehicle. and I would make sure everything is legit. IE..secured location etc.. I cannot do this with you in the vehicle. Other than that, it would be press hard 4 copies and send you on your pissed off way..JK you know I would never stroke you a ticket dude.. I was just curious how it would be perceived as the officer. I would almost want to get out of the vehicle so I wasn't stressed that they'd think I was going to do something.

Is having a handgun in the car instant PC to search the vehicle? I seem to remember it is. Nothing to hide, but my OCD is going to go NUTS.

Greg, what do you mean secured? As in the center console has to be locked? How's the new house?

Well, I'm not really your typical cop either. Every Cop has their own way of doing things but I'm glad you see it like that. Having a gun in a vehicle is not PC by itself.

 

Hey Mike, no does not have to be locked but has to be secured or Latched does not have to be locked. Like how our center consoles latch or a glove box latches. Cannot be secured by your elbow holding it down or a glove box that is held together by skoal and gum..see the difference? Secured means closed and latched. The law does not say anything about it (the gun) having to be locked where it is stored. Keep in mind though that the law is gray when it comes to constitutional rights. Lawmakers don't want to be too liberal with the way they word things but have to keep the right winger's happy if ya catch my drift.

 

I'm all about officer safety. I'd rather they detain me than be worried I'm going to draw on them the whole time.

Just mounted my Maxpedition CCW holster - works pretty damn well.

I'll post up some pics here in a little bit.
