Thanks! Right now I plan on adding fog lights and maybe a light bar or two. The main reason I got the cap was to travel more and sleep in the back.

Yes actually I am. Its hard to describe but its leaking in the front where the cap meets the bed. When I went to the Leer dealer he told me it would probably leak so ill put some silicone in those areas. Sorry, I cant remember the color just the paint code. I like the rig BTW lol.

LOL, I think we are like-minded (at least when it comes to pickups...).

Mine is leaking up front too. I took it back and they mentioned that perhaps the front track for the cleats is lifting the cap slightly. I might try removing that after I inspect it better, and also might need to seal it better up there.

The worst of the water is at the rear where it comes in through the tailgate. I'll seal that for sure when I have time...I don't expect it to be 100% watertight, but for the cost the amount of water getting in is for the birds.

Hey, first post on here. Here's my 96' Tacoma. There's 77k on the engine & body. This is a city truck so 2WD is okay but one day when this yoda retires I'm getting a badass 4x4. I'm due for new tires and got the bug so I'm looking at new wheels, which has led to looking at all types of lift kits too. Not very knowledgeable about fit yet so I'm doing my homework. May be looking pretty rad soon. Hope you like it as is for now.

I'm such a newb I want to do all types of stuff that is probably not practical but looks so cool to me. Some of the builds you guys have are making me drool on my keyboard. I wish it was up higher but I probably won't lift it strictly due to $$$. I'm saving up for a 2nd gen since this one is paid off and then I'll have my classic cruiser and a real 4x4. Can't wait man but I got at least another year of stashing my dollars away. Keeping my eyes open for a good deal on wheels now

Hey thanks. I'm checking out wheels and tires now but the more I check out the more options I have to pick from and the rabbit hole gets deeper. Just spoke to a guy at the auto shop based next to my job and asked him about tires. I have 225/70r14's on there now that the previous owner installed.

Billy, the guy from the auto shop, says they probably did that to make it look beefier because as you know these came with 195/75r14, 205/75r14 and 215/70r14 originally. So my local tire place says they don't stock much in the 225/70r14 size and they can only get me a Mastercraft Avenger GT tire.

I asked him about stepping up the wheel size to have more options and they said don't get into it. I was just thinking before I drop $600 on tires for these rims let me do some homework and maybe upgrade both.

Reminds me of my first BMX bike as a kid and upgrading parts but not knowing as much as I should and I made some dumb mods on it. Trying to avoid that with this since these parts are a few dollars more :D

Wow!!! Even my Honda CRX came with 15s on it! Lol but I would step up to a 15. It will fill the wheel well a lil better and there are many more tire options for them
