OME 885 & AAL Install

Just ordered 885's and a rear AAL. Can anyone recommend a good shop for the install in the Phoenix area?

Yeah you're not bringing it to a shop. Set up a time and I, and others I'm sure, will gladly show up. Collectively we've done a few dozen of these easy.

 

Unless you're a cop, then you can go screw yourself!! Lol just kidding, I spent a long time in law enforcement and now teach the police department.

I can help you do the front. I did my own, just swap the coils and I can come help. I am not very good with AAL's so we can have one guy do the front and someone on the rear and we can probably get it done in a little more than an hour.

 

depending when i can help to. if u have air compressor i can bring any tool imaginable

 

I debated tackling the job myself but most of my tools are for wood working. What I do have is a smoker and a kegerator.

 

sounds like you have half the tools to do it

is it just front struts and adding a leaf?

 

Yeah I'm swapping coils on my 5100's with 885's and a top plate spacer and adding a leaf.

how hard is it to replace the stock springs and shocks. Im looking to put a 3'' in the front only because i want the front higher than the rear end without lowering the rear. would the 5100's work on all four corners and keep at 0'' and get the OME springs at a 3'' work well or no???

Save you a bit on installs.
You can borrow with my expert instruction or I can swap them for you with the world famous stone age spring compressor.
If I can attend your mod session I will do it there for you or if you wish bring the shock/springs to me and I can do the swap in about an hour usually less depending on rust ect

what kind of compressor is it? similar to that of the ones that vatozone rents?

 

No it is a home made unit tha is much safer than the auto parts store loaner.
