good deal man. I live by the reservoir. Got a question for ya. I'm looking at some lifts for my truck. I'm looking at getting a 3" lift. I know there's a couple places around here that install lifts. I'd rather stay away from Ricks Pro Truck and BIG10. I called Big Boyz Toyz and am waiting to hear back from Deep South Spring. Do you know anything about either of those two?

I'm thinking about 885 coils with 5100 shocks, and a 1.5" or 2" add a leaf in the rear. i'm running 265/75r16 toyo mt's right now, but i want to go to a larger tire but don't want to trim anything and would like to keep my front mud flaps. I'll probably wind up getting 255/85r16's when i get new tires.

sounds good. but why not the ome shocks? they are valved for the ome coils.

i have the 886 coils, ome shocks, and 1 1/2 inch add a leaf with tsb springs. i have no complaints with mine on or offroad.

i've just read alot of good stuff about the 5100's. Granted I haven't heard anything bad about the OME shocks, the 5100's seem real popular. None of them are cheap, that's for sure. I talked to the guy at Deep South Spring today, and I'm definitely going with an add-a-leaf in the rear, and I'm thinking about getting a 2.5 spacer up front for now. One of my buddys had the same spacer on his last truck and never had any problems with his, and he put alot of miles on it.

Does anybody know who drives the blacked out DCSB around the reservoir area? I've seen it several times. Looks like he's got a 3" lift with 285/75R16's maybe. Kinda hard to tell just passing him on the road.

Sounds like his, but I haven't seen it sitting still. I pass him on Northshore Parkway crossing the Rez sometimes.

I'll keep that in mind. I've been talking to the guy at Deep South Spring. He's done alot of lifts and custom leaf springs. I haven't ever put a lift on but I've read through a couple installations and it doesn't seem too bad. Have you ever installed one?

yeah i installed mine. i do all my on mechanic work. i don't trust shops and i know if i to it, it will be done right. and it heips that my father-in-law has been a mechanic for like 30 years so if i run into a problem i just call him up.

your right there really isn't that much to installing a lift. it took about 4 hours for me and my father-in-law to put mine on and do and alignment

i sure would have help you too.

Good deal. Well if you're up for it, (since you offered haha) i might get you to help me install mine. Id prefer to not carry it somewhere b/c like you said, you cant hardly ever count on somebody else to do it right. I'll probably buy a better lift if you're willing to help me out.
