Yesterday I learned I will most likely be inheriting two lightforce 240s and two 170 strikers from a family friend. He's going to be adding a plow to his truck so he won't be able to use them anymore. Oh, and he isn't going to charge me for them as long as I remove them and all the wiring :D

haha yeah it is. I just need to continue pushing him towards getting that plow haha. He's tired of relying on people to plow his lot at work and his ice road to his cabin in the winter. Just gotta be persistent with it! I have no F'in clue where I'd put all of them haha, but at least I'd have them.

Yeah for sure that's probably what I'd do. The same guy with the lights is brothers with one of the biggest custom metal fab shops in Alaska too. So he could probably get me a good deal on a custom lightbar too.

How often do you change out the lenses for different colors?

I only have the blues. What they came with When I bought em on here. Make the light a bit more.."pure" white and not yellower if that makes sense. Light force sells tons of different filters tho. I don't see the need to change them...plus I kinda dig the blue now haha

Oh right on. I've seen the 170s with the blue filter and I thought it looked way too blue but I wasn't driving with them so I couldn't really tell.

Mine might be pretty worn too..they look blue with no light on..but when they are on..it's not at all. The light never looks blue. Just white..it's like the difference between a 4300k hid and a 6000k. They are around 5-6000kish...in terms of color with this Len..if I had t guess..

And this is why we aren't surgeons. Lost several nuts and bolts to the engine bay gremlins on both my truck and motorcycle. An extendable magnet is a huge help with this kind of situation.

X2. I use the hell out of mine. I have the clear combo filters and the spot filters. I only use the combo filters though.

So over the holidays I completed my wheel stud and lug nut swap on the front end. Process was much easier than I had envisioned. Did my first highway driving with it now that I'm back at work. Discovered ALL of my steering wheel shimmy is gone as well as most of my vibrations in general. Ride is so smooth now it's almost weird. Really makes me nervous to think about what could have happened if I kept putting it off.
