IDC one bit, let Miguel do as he pleases... If he thinks he's saving money and he just maybe saving let him learn. Regardless of the truck being a 1st or 2nd gen I'll side with a 10 year old friendship friend over some kid IDFK. PS I troll and I'll go hardcore. so GFY

no no no. It's not that. I'm not rich one bit. I'm just your average full time college student that works part time and saves his money. Am I cheap hell yea I am. The last truck I owned was a decent truck and it was falling apart. I could have sold it privately and made $5,000 of the thing. I didn't have the time or money to keep dumping into that pile of suck truck. So I cut my losses and traded it in. I got $1200 trade in for it. Used that as a DP and used my savings on my current truck. We work to make money correct??? The way I see it, is that what ever you spend will be replaced just by working a little bit more and harder. Yea I'm out 15k but I've made half of it back already. I did not want a loan. That's my personal choice. And for the record Miguel convinced himself to get a 1st gen, I just helped a little more after he made that decision.

I'm perfectly content with my 10 year old truck

Frame Swap - Have the donor frame stripped down with the exception of the engine, axles, exhaust, gas tank, and wheels..

Need a lift though, it would be an incredible pain in the ass to line up an SR5 cab and a frame with anything else as far as I can tell... Unless you have any crazy idea's. I have an engine hoist, a stand, plenty of tools, jacks, jackstands.. etc.

no need to justify yourself to us, were just little poor peons who have to take out loans on 30k dollar trucks. we dont work full time, go to school, or have any other bills. dont mind us, were just stupid and dont know how to manage our money. we're too busy fucking ourselves to realize that you are far more superior than us, you know, working part time and all. sorry to get in your way david gates, we wont let it happen again!

Miguel, how much longer do you have on your current loan?

I hate to say it, but I'm with Rob. I think you'll be lucky to get $19k as a trade in value. I would take the truck to a dealership and get a real number so you know what you could for it as a trade. Then you'll know exactly what your situation is.
