    Yeah , you need 3/16" min. Just thin enough to "warp" over the springs but thick enough to hold tension

    With the valence no longer on the front part of your bumper (the plastic piece you took out ) did you also take out the metal part that was attached to the frame behind that?

    No, the bumper you see is exactly as stock except the valance removal, remember the valance wraps the entire front w/marker or turnsignal lights on the valance....

    The first coat was some Rustoleum & been touching it up as I go with cheap spray paint..seems to work alright..

    I'm thinking about filling in some of the open spots to close it up some, it'll be a cross between a plate/tube bumper hybrid

    My bumper has 8 light tabs ;) none of which are in use since I custom made a mount for my LED bar :eek: You planning on adding some more lights to it?

    Took out that over sized bath tub of a wiper fluid tank, God I hated that thing the way it'd just hang dowm waaaay too big IMO...:mad:

    This is the area inside wheel well where tank sat, thats alot of space...

    now its gone...:)
