Has anyone done OME 885x's with top plate spacer on 5100's @ 0 and left your stock UCA's on?

Also looking to get 2" AAL in the rear.

Please speak up now or forever hold your peace :D

    3" OME lift 885s & Dakars riding on 33" KM2s
Is you question can you get a full 3" lift in front and run stock UCAs?
    I am.
I'm running 885s on OME 90000s for 3" lift on my 4Banger with stock UCAs. Toe & camber are at 0 caster is not in spec but close and no drive-ability problems.

Cool thanks. Just saw this on the other thread as well. I'm pretty sure I'm going with this set up on Monday. Hopefully no complications.

How much have these set ups run people getting them installed at shops? I know a ton of guys are going to say "do your own work" but I don't have the knowledge, skills, nor tools to get it done. Just looking for estimates. Thanks!

When I was debating on installing my lift vs. paying someone else to do it, I got a quote from a local shop. I brought in a list of everything I wanted to be installed, and they told me it would be anywhere between $600-800. I opted to install it myself w/ the help of a couple buddys over a weekend. I'm soooo glad I installed it on my own rather than paying somebody. I learned so much and gained a lot of confidence on working on that kind of stuff, and all I paid for was food and beer. It's a win-win situation. Read over the installation threads on this forum. Make sure you know torque specs and have all the required tools, it should go smoothly.

Satoshi'd grill. blacked out badges. aftermarket sound system. De-chromed and color matched. OME 885s + Dakars with 3rd leaf removed. LR UCAs. Scs stealth 6 with 285 duratracs. BAMF sliders
Do it yourself! lol. I had almost no knowledge when it comes to suspension before looking for a lift, spent a few hundred on tools and did everything myself, it wasnt very hard. If there was no tacomaworld i probably would have messed something up tho. I bet the new england guys would help you out, i would help also if the drive isnt to far. You should make sure you put aside some money for aftermarket UCAs just incase, i played it safe and installed light racing UCAs with the lift

I just installed the full ome kit, 885 coils with the top plate spacer for a full 3". with the new 9000 shocks front and rear, and Dakar leaf pack out back. I must say, the ride is pretty stiff. I know the new shocks, 9000 are valved firmer than the previous ones they replaced.

I was expecting something a little more cushier. I'm installing total chaos UCA tomorrow and maybe they will help to make it softer. I've only put about 60 miles on the truck since the install last week, perhaps with more driving and time it will settle. I'm happy with my purchase as my intent was to get a quality 3" inch lift to stuff bigger wheels and tires in there. I could have just put spacers and block, but like i said i wanted quality. Just was expecting a more cushier ride that's all.

I don't know how many of you have the 885 with the new 9000 shocks and top plate spacers, but in my experience so far on, this combo WILL BE STIFF. At least on my 2013 DC OR PKG.

After 50-60k miles when they need to be replaced, right now, I would not purchase these again. I hope they last that long. I've got 50k miles to think about it

They're off road shocks. They're gonna be stiff. But it's a truck, not a Cadillac so stiff doesn't bother me

I have the same exact setup and I don't think its too stiff. If anything it feels like there's a solid suspension underneath it, compared to the sponge-like ride of a stock tacoma. It actually feels like a truck now. I guess its all about perspective, but I knew it was going to be stiffer than stock and I actually prefer how the truck rides now, as do most people that install OME. Give it time, you're still in the break-in period. It will settle and soften up a little bit.

New OME Dakars and 883's on a 2006 DCSB.
    1 year old 5100's set at 0.
    Great ride.
firm, but not harsh...I think the 5100's are a good match for the springs.

I never knew what it was like to ride on quality springs...Toyota should be ashamed of itself for putting junk like they did on the road.

the all-important measurements (From middle of hub to bottom of fender)
    Rear 24.5
    Front 22
I gained 4" in back and 1.75" in front.

I do all the time. I bet I would get support but also feel bad about stealing guys saturday-sunday days off as well.

I was really just wondering what an honest estimate from a shop would be. Didn't really have a number in my head besides around $1000.00.

Thanks. Tried the Duragloss 501 / 105 combo after claying. Slick as a whistle.

Thanks. I have enjoyed them. My next MOD will be 886 coils and a bumper.
