    Seen a lifted dodge with a chain across his tow hooks last week. Not my cup of tea. Anywho it's not going to happen op unless you add some tow hooks to front of truck. Which are expensive. then your chain would need some droop for that extra cool factor. Which would be way too close to the ground and you might be carrying road kill every once in awhile. Good luck

    Hahahaha Whoooooo whooooooop. Dude was crazy driving. Chains might be a bit much on a street truck even if you do wheel it I don't think you will ever need them. I ran some on my MATV in Afghanistan but that is like a 35000lb truck. Had em looped around the D-rings in the back.

    I've been wheeling since I was a young boy, and I've never needed chains. Ever. Hundreds of recoveries. For a huge truck like that its a different story though.

    I would much rather have a tow strap flying at my head if it broke then a chain. Just my preference. Chain is only as strong as it's weakest link and typically shows no signs of being over stressed like a strap would.

    I only carry 3" tow straps rated for 30k in my truck (62' of it between 3 straps to be exact). No snatch straps or chain or rope. I have never needed anything more or less in my 22 years of going off-road.

    Actually I lied I do have a lenght of chain in my recovery bag for turning my hi-lift into a winch, but that is always my last resort and I have yet to use it besides a practice run.
