I like the idea behind ecoboost, hopefully its a good engine.

For me forced induction should be offered from more manufacturers. They get better mileage and more power from less engine.

wow $31,000 for an almost brand new Tacoma? Sticker price for a 2012 Tacoma in Canada is close to $50,000

f150's are great trucks! I had a 2002 lariat 5.4L and it was long traveled, i miss it every day :(

The only problem i had with it was spark plugs blowing out of the head, it happened 3 times, and each time it took me about 4 hours to drill out the spark plug hole, tap it, and put a helicoil in it. but other than that it was bullet proof.

Im actually considering getting another f150, cuz i miss the power and i need a 4wd truck

I don't understand everyone's boner with the ecoboost? Sure it might be a good/great engine. But it is still wrapped in a turd.

What good is a powerful gas sipping engine if the transmission fails?

There is a reason behind the joke of the name FORD Found On Road Dead.

Is that why it's the #1 best selling full-size truck for more than two decades? I didn't have any transmission problems or leaks or anything when I owned an F150. Every model has its lemons. You can't base them all on one truck your buddy had problems with.
I've seen a lot of talk about Tacoma rust issues. Pretty sure F150 hasn't had that problem. Get off your high horse.

Edit: My bad, looks like it's three decades.

You will regret it..... I have a 2012 Tacoma DC 2.7 for my personal truck and drive a 2012 Ford F150 with eco-boost for work everyday. My Tacoma performs just as well as the F150 in the hills around Knoxville.

My second love, ford. Had a 2001 stang GT and loved it. Had a friend just got a new Eco f-150. He loves it, nice trucks. I'd have one if I could afford! But I'd get the 5.0(love a v-8)

Just wanted to update this and say I sold the Tacoma. Sold it to a nice guy up in Santa Cruz who lost his condo and 2010 Tacoma in a fire caused by faulty wiring about a month ago.

Couldn't have gone to better person. Glad it worked out for the both of us.

The wife and I will most likely be buying another Tacoma when the redesign comes out as a 2nd vehicle. (we'll see)

You guys are great and hope to be a Tacoma owner again in the future.

Loving the new F-150. Here are a few pics for those of you who asked.

Great looking truck and I'm sure you will be more than happy with it.

My family has had Ford trucks all my life and they are the #1 selling truck for good reason. I looked at a new boosted F150 but I've already got a 4dr diesel super duty I never drive and wanted to stay mid size for my daily driver. My previous DD was a 09 2dr Rubicon so staying midsized was important. Also looked at the Ranger but the Tacoma just looks better to me so I thought I'd give them a go. Still love my Fords though!!!

Congrats on the new F150 those 3.5's have incredible power. My parents have that same motor in their MKS and it's a blast to drive. They have very smooth linear power.

Except when you account for Silverado+Sierras sales added together

I would like a new STX 4x4 with vinyl floors and rear elocker. Cheaper than a new TRD Tacoma. :(

They can keep the ecoboost, give me a 5.0 Coyote.

Still two different trucks. Maybe GMC and Chevy should merge their trucks into one model so they can shut Ford up. Even when you combine Sierra and Silverado, F150 still beats them in sales numbers most years.

Not a fan of the stripe on the door with the appearance package. But otherwise a gorgeous truck. Pretty much what i would buy if I were buying a new truck.
