Thanks for doing the measurements. I didn't have time to do any. I had just enough time to throw it in and get the truck out of my bay before they shoved another one in.

    That, plus a couple other things. I'll explain . . .

I had a 20mph vibe (whether accelerating or decelerating) since the truck was new. After installing my lift w/ TSB 4-leaf springs and ToyTec's 1.5" TSB add-a-leaves in the rear, the 20mph vibe worsened. I then installed 4* axle shims; they got rid of the 20mph vibe but introduced the infamous take-off shudder (0-12 mph). After living with the takeoff shudder for nearly four years I finally got fed up. I then installed the new transmission mount discussed above; no change. I then removed my 4* axle shims and shimmed my carrier bearing down until both driveshafts were within 1* of each other. Vibes gone.

In summary, I think it's a combination of the rear lift settling a little, the new rear trans mount, and shimming the carrier bearing down.

Went in yesterday 1/3/13 had the Trans mount replaced!
Vibes still the same. The mechanic or myself can not see any change!
    Vibes still there.
Going back in today to get springs changed and if that don't do anything they are going to change the steering dampner.
    Will update later today.

No i could not tell any change at all in the ride or driveing of the Tacoma.
I asked the service mananger the differance in the springs but he did not wont to share any information with me.
They would not let me back into the work area to see anything.:confused:

maybe you should tell them to do the other driveline vibration tsb.
If you look at the OP...its like 2 tsb's down...it looks like its a driveshaft replacement.

Can you give me a link to that tsb so i can show it to them.
They told me they could not find anything on the 2012 about replacing the
driveshaft. I went to this site and there is nothing about driveshafts. Thanks

look in the 1st post on this thread...

    released 12/21/2012
    T-SB-0250-12: '05-'12 Tacoma: 2wd rear propeller shaft(driveshaft) clunk/thunk noise

I think they should do it regardless. Especially if they already did the other one without the desired results.

Vins have to line up. They are sticklers about free work... Go figure.
