I have spoken with the Aurora lights and they will wave the minimum order for $30/pc, so depending on what you want, it is still a great deal.

Email Cara, sales13@szaurora.com, and let her know Hans sent you and she will work with you on your lights.

Hey how did you look up the patents, and yes I did try the USPatents website, just couldnt figure it out. I see Rigid popping in everywhere and making those claims and I got curious.Oops just figured it out, was looking in wrong search bar LOL ...The reason you didnt find the last one was because the poster forgot to put a "7" in front of the number...You are right! According to USPTO, none of those patents have anything to do with Rigid Ind..

I checked the import/export bill of laden websites and they get majority of their parts oversees.

I think they ASSEMBLE all parts here so technically its not Made in America, but ASSEMBLED in America. I think they need to change that on their website!

I wonder why they havent responded yet??

Yeah, I have no doubt they are made in China. To have made in the USA, they only need 35% of the light put together here and to be repackaged, so assembly would do it. I went ahead and ordered my lights from Aurora and a few others have as well. I paid $58 for the "Dually D2" and $88 for the 4 inch bars. They also have a new style optic that has less light pollution and focuses the light better, so I expect you will be seeing that very soon from Rigid. lol

Anyway, if anyone still wants, Cara at Aurora is waving the minimum. Just tell her Hans sent you.

Another thing that I noticed is that their housing is not made in America, they get them built overseas. Noticed how they don't say anything about Auroras housing, that it violates any patents regarding design , because they can't patent the design, because its not their own.

Don't get me wrong , I support American made products. But products that are assembled here from outsourced parts then try to overcharge is ridiculous. They show them assembling the products on YouTube, show me how you are manufacturing the housing here in the US. You can't because , they aren't..

In reply to questions regarding is our product made overseas or here.

Rigid lights are made in Mesa Az, our optics are patented, not pending, and are the main reason we fare better than others in the led game. We have put in the time, research & development, and money to protect our product to the fullest extent. That being said is everything in our light made in the US no its not. The reason being is no one in the States produces certain pieces we need to make our lights. To say we are not an American made company is not right. If you buy an American made car is that entire vehicle made in the Unites States, no its not.

You can buy a Warn Winch or a Harbor Freight winch. They both do basically the same thing, but one does it much better, usually for alot longer.

We currently have over 100 dedicated employees who receive health benefits, a competitive wage for what they do, and a production based bonus program which in this Economy is very important and we are proud to say we are helping this economy get better by employing the American people. We currently have a 18,000 sq ft building and are moving into our new World Headquarters in February to make our product and service even better then it already is and to further support those that support us.

We put a value on this and so do most of our customers, an American company putting out a high quality product that we are proud of with excellent customer service.

Obviously there is alot of room for competition in this market, We dont have a problem with that at all. Our products are priced towards the high end of the market, there are much cheaper options and more expensive options as well

Saying our products are too expensive is relative, are they a rip-off, are we laughing our way to the bank, is the technology simple, are all of the different offerings putting out the same light, the answer is NO on all counts.

We do have a problem with China company's being un-original, and copying patented Optic technology. The optics Aurora are using are old technology and an older design. Do to reasons i cant discuss they have been forced to change their optics and design. They have new optics and design out but are still trying to sell left over lights to the people without informing them of any legal trouble they will have.

Some people will not care about any of this and be price driven, thats your right and choice, as a business who makes the original product I think it sucks..in our shoes you would too.

We have a fairly stout legal team that is dealing with Aurora and a couple of others who have supposedly ordered our protected product from Aurora, and this too will now have to be addressed. Please dont take this as a threat it is just necessary to protect our business, employees, customers and products..and this is why we have patents.

To all of our customers, or those that support the Rigid Nation and believe in supporting the American Economy we thank each an everyone of you.

If any of you have any question or concerns please feel free to email me.

I can tell you this much, you get what you pay for. I've seen many Chinese lights fall apart, fog up despite their claim of being waterproof, or burnout in a short period Of time. I have never seen an issue with a rigid industries LED light bar. any issues that I have heard about, they have stepped up and took care of the customer right away.

x2, you get what you pay for with off road lighting like most other things.
x2. if you want cheep lights go get some $20 lights at wal mart. that will surely show RI that they have a over priced light.......NOT:rolleyes:

I think LEDs are great for wide lighting.(fog style) also distance is good IMHO. I also think you should look at what is good/work best for the area you will off roading in. like blackdawg said there are lights that may shine out farther than LEDs but some people may not need that really. I’m going to get a 20” RI for a roof rack when i can build it so i can keep it low profile.(less wind drag) also i don’t see me ever needing to go out any farther than about 1800 feet+ or - a little. I can see out in the desert how you would wont light out is far as it can posable go. i also wont be going any faster than about 30MPH.

These are by no means threats. We have been going after Aurora along with the patent company has. I was just giving people a heads up so they didnt get into any trouble down the line. We have no problem with people buying Aurora lights just make sure to get there new optics since they have just changed there optics. We fully support the little guys thats how Rigid was started in a 1200 sq ft building. You have to start some where. There is plenty of room for competition in this industry. Our lights lean to the more higher end of the market, there is cheaper choices and more expensive, its all personal preference. We just try and protect our product.

If anyone took my previous posts the wrong way i apologize. I just wanted to put out a mass message to everyone.

I will see what i can do about a group buy. We are the manufacture so offering a group buy could be difficult but i will talk to a few dealers that are on TW and see what they would like to do. What kind size bars is everyone looking for so i have an idea before i talk with them? D2s? Sr-series

    Thanks guys,

This sure sounds like a threat....

"Just to give everyone a heads up since I know you are talking about a group buy about the Aurora Lights. These Aurora Lights are illegal to sell or promote in the United Sates. You can face legal trouble from both us and the Patent company. Im just trying to help everyone out and give you a heads up so you don't have any legal problems down the line since I have been monitoring this for some time now."

You should have just stated the facts regarding your patents and your complaints with the company. Intelligent people would be able to vote with their hard earned money and patriotism without the threat of legal action. Character of how companies do business comes through in situations like these on the first opportunity for response.

Well if they built something like that, then they are hypocrites, because they are copyings someones style and design..

But then Dan says he will put in a word to try and have that made...

Why not buy the one you posted a link to...

Also if Dan would tell us if they manufacture the housing yourself, because I think the housings come from overseas.. and they assemble everything here...

Also everyone saying that Chinese crap is garbage, maybe some but look at your iPhone's and LCD the and nearly all your appliances are made there..I wish those plants would come back, but its not gonna happen...

I have never seen any big company troll boards and try to threaten the buyers..go after the companies manufacturing the stuff...you see apple posting on forums and threating people buying Samsung products...if your that big why worry bout what's going on in forums...
