    $200/mo for 3 years is only $7200.

I've got over $1200 into my oak staircase... and that's just basic cheap Lowe's materials.

Hee hee. I once drove up to a customer's property, looked at the first building I saw, and said "damn, that's a fancy house!" I was looking at the horse stable.:homer: The person in question owns three different ranches, and is rarely there. This particular ranch raises goats.....go figure. I doubt there is any money in goats, but it's probably just a tax write-off.

No hate. Just always trying to gain a little insight into how the wealthy do it. People with multiple properties seem to look at each one as a business. When I see something like that goat ranch, I just have a hard time seeing how it's making money. If it isn't making money, and you're never around to sit and enjoy it.....then why hang onto it? Maybe it IS profitable, I dunno. Goats....who knew?

The goat ranch guy lives 45 minutes from the last tiny town at the far edge of our county. That's 45 minutes down a washboard dirt road. He's pretty rude, and has no respect for my time or profession. Despite holding multiple Phds, he has proven to me that he cannot problem solve, or read bright yellow tags attached to newly purchased products. He believes we should be so damn grateful for his business, that we should drive over two hours round trip to his home to literally flip a light switch for him, and that that service should not cost him a dime. He has scheduled a service visit to his home, and then sent us away on arrival, because he has guests in the house. Each time that he does this, a service tech has to work two hours of overtime, which with other problems and obligations that come with the job, usually translates into arriving home at about bedtime. When you get paid on a commission basis, doing warranty work, any encounter with this guy means you're working overtime, for about 14 bucks an hour IF you get paid at all.

If there is any hate involved, it's not for wealth, it's for the piss poor attitude that wealth very often fosters in people.

Okay, got that off my chest!:D Show me some more awesome houses!

I see middle class or broke ass class people everyday that are total douchebags...and, I also know some of the best people you could ever meet that have earned boat loads of wealth. And vice versa.

saying wealth fosters a poor attitude is like saying being Jewish makes one cheap...or poor folk are humble...or Italians are mafia connected...or Irish are drunks...or any other stereotype...

If I were you, I would have stopped doing business with goat man long ago.

    They might.

My buddy makes over 3m/year and drives a 2000 325i
The BMW replaced his Mercedes 190 after his manager told him in no uncertain terms that he made too much money to be driving "that piece of shit"

His wife drives an '08 Silverado 1500, that replaced an '03 4-Runner, which replaced a 2000 Cherokee that they were able to get "lemoned out" due to rust.

Two houses on the harbor and a mobile home in the desert, three boats including a 45ft and 22ft cabin ships.

Wife's always making comments to his wife about "You've got plenty of money, why don't you just....."
I always give her shit about it.
He didn't get where he is by pissing away every dollar he makes.

It took me almost 40 years to hammer into his head "Buy cheap, buy twice"
He's still miserable to go shopping with, but he no longer buys the cheapest POS he can... he'll spend another 10% to get something that'll actually last.

That doesn't explain the Silverado though

I have to deal with those types of people on a daily basis. I live next to 3 different towns that are VERY wealthy. Peter Frampton actually lives in one of them. I have found 98% of those people think we should bow down to them and kiss their feet. I have actually told a few of them to kick rocks because they were so rude to me and expected me to do things for them. They all drive like assholes too. constantly playing with their smartphones while driving and pulling out in front of you forcing you to slam on your brakes and lock the wheels up. It is VERY VERY rare that I come across someone the makes that kind of money and doesn't act like a tool.
