    Look at build!
Doesn't seem to be an issue here in South Carolina. I like it and as soon as we get the program to write/draw new words and designs I'll have the Toyota logo or trd on the 5spd knob and an old school Toyota 4x4 on the J shifter!

I have that same knob. Took about 8 months for the smell of (what I thought was) adhesive to go away.

And don't use plasti-dip on the transfer case knob. Use vinyl dye. It's permanent.

And while the flat black dye isn't an exact match to the charcoal gray leather, it's damn close enough.

    Rubbing alcohol on leather?

    I don't think that's a good idea.

    If anything use linseed oil.

The only thing that truly worked for me was time and letting it off gas in the sun all summer. Even still, my hand would smell like that stench after driving for a few months.

This is most ergonomic. The metal is freezing in winter and can burn your hand if left in the sun. That's why the blue wrist band is there.

I'm still happy with mine after over a year. Apparently I'm in the minority, because while I do agree that the thing stinks, I rather like it? :crapstorm:
It's got this synthetic/chemically enhanced smell that I like, what can I say. I like weird stuff like the smell of carbon copies too, though. :D

Yeah the Duplicolor dye I use smells incredibly volatile too.

I can't imagine letting it cure indoors

This summer when I did my entire interior (in pieces) I actually had to go inside to get fresh air when I was spraying it all outside... then I let it cure in my garage for a few days and I could smell it all the way in my bedroom.

I definitely lowered my IQ spraying with that stuff.

I love your tap handle, I have 3 smaller PBR taps but the threads are way too small to fit. So for now I went w/ a Hurst t-hanfle til I find another PBR tap. P.S. my id picture should give you an idea of my favorite things.

3 in Ultimate ToyTec, set @ 2.5 in. AAL PINCH Weld Mod ( beat the pinch weld over inside the fender) Painted the pinch weld on bottom of cab Black Hi Lift Knock off
I have been wanting this for several years and knew I would have to do a small weld job to make it work. These are cast iron so the weld was not standard. I had some lug nuts welded onto the cast iron. This knob isn't for everyone but it is for me.:crapstorm::crapstorm::crapstorm::crapstorm::crapstorm:

I have to be careful how I shift now or the motor will grenade!
