Yeah, I can see a lot of potential issues/downfalls to it. Pretty neat though.

Anyone know where a DIY write up is for LED's? Mainly for the electrical part. Just want these things to shine :D

Mike? The lighting guru must know the link :D

What are you trying to do with them? You mentioned wiring them behind the grille, do you want them switched, on when the parking lights are on or some other function? Also, does the packaging say how much draw there is to them? Most decorative LEDs don't have much draw and could be piggy backed off of another circuit. So, how do you want them to function and I can tell you how to wire them up.

The FJ wheels give you a bit more room with about 3/4" less backspace but I don't believe the various iterations of 4Runner wheels differ much in backspace measurements (4th gens). I don't know if the measurements are different for the 5th gens

I just picked up $20 LED lights that came with a switch I just want to attempt to wire them up while paint dries and stuff tonight. I know its odd but its more of an experiment/learning lesson. I might not even use them haha. I'll post a pic of it in a second lol:D

The trail edition wheels and the FJ wheels are the same exact thing aren't they?

All the new FJs I've seen lately have the same rims as the Trail Editions... Dunno if it's a specific trim of FJ I just keep seeing lately...

I like it better without but if you beat the crap out of the bull bar you may want to keep it

Thanks! I'm bad with decisions. I'm going to see how the bull bar looks after I get rid of a dent and paint it over really nice. Its plasti-derped right now but if you look at my build page you'll see what happened to the skid plate that used to be below it haha

Where did you get the light kit. I did a cheap light install for reverse and they just filled with water. But the thought behind it will work so I will pick up some better lights
