Mainly because many fleet buyers purchase them in bulk at reduced costs. Doesn't mean they're better, just cheaper at initial purchase.

The Ford will spend as much time in the repair shop as an old lady goes to see the doctor.

You were smart enough to by a Taco, be smart enough to keep it.:D

The new ford ecoboost is nice but they put small exhaust pipes which limit the power and torque, swapping 4" pipes adds 30 hp and about 25 lbs of torque

Ehh.. enjoy your Tacoma. I have a new Ford FX4 because my work, but still enjoy driving my Tacoma on the weekends. They both have there pros and cons.

Have you driven one? I had a real hard time justifying the price tag (Lariat w/ECO Boost was $45+k) for that truck AND it is seriously f-ing BIG. Compensating for a tiny penis big. Seriously though - when I test drove it before buying my Taco all I could think about is what a bear it would be to park.

Yea, It was a little pricey.... I do love that I dont have to fill up with gas every other day like i did with the Tacoma. Plus now I can save the miles on the Tacoma.. we will see how the Ford runs.

know a guy who actually sold an 05 tacoma and bought this

Usually its the other way around, but considering they have boatloads of family money, I dont think gas is a concern for him..

I traded a decked out 2010 Ram crew cab for my Tacoma. I kick myself almost every day for not buying the Tacoma first. I lost a TON of money selling the Ram, and I like the Tacoma better anyway.

That 36 gallon tank on my F150 was nice! I only filled it up every two weeks vs. every week with my Tacoma. Both are great vehicles.

The new fords are nice but the cost is bull, Toyota,s are built better run longer, hold resale,
And are just cool, how many ford guys say " I wish I bought a Tacoma" I bet almost all ha ha.

Resale is great on the taco, sell it and buy the Ford of your dreams. Just don't have the same feelings in a year, you will lose your ass on the Ford.

Just the essentials and no extra fluff.
Three things I am unhappy about:
    1) Insufficient payload
    2) No diesel option
    3) Chains won't fit on front wheels

my last two cars were Fords, I kept both for 4 years. I lost a good amount of money on the resale value. My father had a Hemi Ram (all options), kept it for 3 years and got killed on the resale, literally half the value.

yea the tacoma is a bit smaller, but its such a solid long lasting truck. i dont think you could beat it.

My wife gave me the OK to get a new 2013 Grand Cherokee SRT8.
I could use the extra doors (I have a access cab) but have only ever driven Toyota's.
I was thinking the GC SRT8 would be a fun truck for a couple of years then I could go back to either a 4 door Tacoma or 4runner.
I'm torn on what to do, as I normally would never even considered anything other then Toyota's, but the 470hp is tempting.

So many you ungratefuls wanting Fords, you people need to repent.

Jk, I actually like the looks of the FX4, looks baws. Rams are cool to, I like my dads. As for GM I don't want to touch one.

I'm not saying they are better, but you cant deny that they are good trucks.
