When scuba diving, if the water is colder than 80 degrees, I'm wearing a drysuit.

    DRY suit.

    It's basically a 3-layer nylon laminated zip-lock.
Can't pee in it like you can a wetsuit.

    Enter, the P-Valve.
A pressure-equalized valve mounted to the suit just above my knee with a hose that attaches to a condom catheter.

    Need to go? Go.

You can buy the same thing from medical supply stores for people who have bladder control problems. Straps to your calf. Go when you need to, dump when you stop for gas.

Please don't take offense. It's just something I've always noticed.

I read a lot, I talk to a lot of people, and I try to learn SOMETHING from everyone I meet. The day you stop learning is the day you start dying.

Dad got out of the Navy in '46 and worked for North American until he retired in '85.
Brother has a PhD in research chemistry... retired a couple of years ago.

why would i want something els to keep in my truck on a trip? i could just throw them on stuff in the back seat, but than they would just fall and slide in to the floor board and i wont find them. or i could but in the front floor board and have them rolling around every where.
lol. i find it funny he said 25. the DC only have 13.

yeah doors are not good for cans. i think your cup holder is more like the auto trans. the one in front is oval and just (on mine) has the plastic divider that has arms that snap out. at least on mine it holds cans really good. even the taller energy drink or the newer tea drink in a can. i have had bot in and been on a service road and never had a problem with them tipping over.

I actually gave up on this thread awhile back. Seven pages is getting a bit long but it does make for entertaining reading.

The "asshole responses," as you put it, are likely far more the result of these things (illuminated 4x4 switch, lighted drink holders, etc) being mentioned over and over in many threads, usually followed by blanket criticisms of, or nasty insinuations about, Toyota ("piss poor job, "a joke," "cheap," etc). Give it a break already. The absence of this stuff (illuminated 4x4 switch, etc) isn't the end of the world.

And those of us who happen to like our trucks are getting a bit tired of the ongoing criticisms of a product and a company we like. Yes, like every other manufacturer (Ford is dropping vehicles, for example), Toyota is cutting costs wherever they can. In a shrinking vehicle marketplace, they have no choice. Despite that, Toyota is still delivering a vehicle that is, at the core level (price, function, etc), above average in many ways. Given all that, I can easily live without lighted drink holders.

If you have zero complaints, good for you. We're all very satisfied with our trucks. I, however, just spent $35k on it and was a bit surprised (before the purchase) that a $35k truck wouldn't come with some of these standard features.

Yes, I remember manual windows - but I also remember buying that car for less than $20k.
