Auto manufactures make improvements based on consumer complaints, wants, needs, and to compete with other manufactures standard/options. If it were not for threads like this one, manufactures would have little need/want to improve on previous models.

Example, 2012 tacomas had XM and now the 13s no longer have it. I'm sure there was some market research to back that decision.

I'm happy to see the improvements from my 06 loaded sport to my 12 Sr5. I'm sure the improvements were implemented due to people like the OP and helped make this happen.

I have had my 2013 for two weeks now and love it. I thought I would miss all of the creature comforts from the GTI, but it's a truck. I took it on a 500 mile trip this past weekend and loved every minute in it. The only feature I miss is auto-locking doors when I put it in gear; my '04 4Runner had that. But, other that that, I love this truck.

This entire post is a joke. I am not trolling or fishing in any way. I own a 2012 TRD Sport longbox that is my first ever Toyota. I was merely mentioning some shortcomings (albeit minor) that I was SURPRISED to see weren't on the truck!! Especially for $40K!!

Don't act like you are the judge and jury on every post made. I can't wait until I have 55 posts like you so I can sit back and act like I've seen all and know all......GFY pal.

Guy, in case you didn't notice (and you obviously didn't), several did try to address his issues ("answer questions") earlier in this thread, suggesting mods and similar he could try to fix several of those. The OP continued on despite that, determined Toyota should have built the truck exactly to his wants and desires.

Neither will I ever again!! It took 9 pages for guys to tell me what an a$$hole I am.....
What a warm and fuzzy place this is......Is there a Tacoma Haters forum?
maybe a guy like me will feel more welcome there...lol

Anyway...you guys can continue on with this topic if you want...I think I'll wait until I have a more "justified" post before I say anything more
Again, to all who love their Tacomas without one single solitary complaint or one small change that they would like to see because their truck is perfect in every way, I apologize.

As a brand new owner of a Tacoma, tbh, never realized the lighting issue, even after countless searches and test drives. Not a biggie, I just take comfort that even with out cup holder or 4x4 light switch, I have one of the best trucks my price range could buy. On top of years of solid reliability you can transform the truck to whatever you want.
Enjoy it, and learn as much as you can on this forum by guys who live for this shit. I will

Again, all of this has been discussed many times before before. For example, the removal of the auto up window is the result of a lawsuit related to a child injured by this feature. Thus, other manufacturers will likely follow in eliminating this until some reasonably priced solution is found.

They have the auto up in the 2013 4Runners and Highlanders... was the lawsuit specific to the Tacoma?
