Since it is your first time you wont want to do tsf. Wait for barlow. Better still is to ride shotgun so you know what to expect. Better to have to miss a day by riding passenger than having a body damage bill

What is everyone's thought on the AllPro Hybrid bumper? Have a chance to get one for a decent price

came home from lunch, went to go back to work and truck wouldn't start up.

every now and then i could get the radio to turn on, but soon as i turned ignition everything went out. gonna clean some terminals, check cables, and if needed buy a red top.

Red tops look bling..but I'd go with a Sears Diehard Platinum if I were you. I shopped around and did a lot of research a few months ago when I upgraded my stock battery.

DieHard Platinum AGM and Odyssey seem to be the best out there IMO.

I effin love those! If I didn't score such a great deal on my bumper I would have been on a hunt for one of those since they're no longer in production. Are you getting it from a local guy that was selling his suspension parts not long ago?

I haven't seen your truck since you installed the lift but add wheel spacers to pop your tires out a bit with that bumper and your truck will look BEAST!

    Just my .02:cool:

and I'll be jealous of your front bumper..

    from optima's site:

I hear great things about optima, from my quick gatherings, red is for ignition, yellow is for vibrations, and blue is for marine.

I was originally thinking of going to a Red Top... But I read quite a few stories of bad batteries. Apparently after Optima shifted production to Mexico quality control went to shit. Maybe they've got it sorted out - IDK. Seemed like it was really hit or miss.

A battery is pretty important to me..

Sears has got DieHards for about $220. Plus they're made by Deka in the US if that matters.

i hope i don't have to buy a new battery, i don't really want to fork out 140 or 220 either way! optima's warranty is 3 years vs 4 years at sears.

i also wonder if yellow is worth looking into. before i do a purchase ill do research but damnit batteries are stupid expensive thats 1/3 of a bumper.

Dont ask me why, but if you do go optima, you are supposed to go for yellow, not red. If you hop over to the gitout.com forum, venturer did a writeup. I thought about odyssey but heard there were problems because its basically a standard battery with double the fins or something and somehow that causes problems - again, it was written up over on gitout

Jonnie I still need to extend my rear brake line. You just bought yours from toytec right? I thought about a braided one on TW but the guy quoted me 110$ for it. I thought it was ridiculous, maybe he misquoted me.
