    ^^^ what's up with the linkage in front of the axle? I'm not too familiar with truck suspensions, but I'm pretty sure that's not oem on that first gen.

    But he dose plan on SASin it and dose have a traction bar to help axle wrap as he is SCed.

    In front of the rear axle yes and home mad at that.

    Already have my axles. Divorce will be payed off in one year and then ill have about 500 bucks a month to dump into my SAS.. :D

    after i do mine i have to buy 37 for street tires and 44s to play with and then a cummins to pull the beast. already have a trailer, its a tall deck dove tail built it myself last year.

    Got a locker/4.88s waiting for me in my garage. Cannot decide if I want to lock the front or not. I don't want to not lock the front only to find out a year later that I want it locked....

    I’ve always thought that being locked in the front with IFS was just asking for trouble since CVs aren’t as strong as a solid axle. Probably better to just adjust to find a better line. Just my .02

    It just sucks that if I decide to lock later, then I'm looking at another $1200. Rather than just throwing it in there now..

    But then again, do I really need a front locker?

    A front locker makes a rig super capable. Opens a lot of new doors on what you can do and lines you can take.

    If you change your driving style your cvs will be fine.

    However not having one in the rear..isn't going to make a huge difference. I'd try and do both if your doing gears. Might as well while you have the front diff out.

    I'm amazed at the price point that ECGS offers! Shopped around locally, all of the shops wanted around $1200 + taxes just do regear the front clamshell. No locker, just 4.88 R & P...

    Looking at stuffing a Puma 12 V compressor in there as well. Figure I can get a much more capable compressor for less than the cost of one ARB "High Output"... Using the Mac air Solenoids too, which are about 1/3rd the cost of ARBs. Don't get me wrong, ARB is great - it just seems like they convince people that the only way to run their lockers if with their components.
