Wassup Doc. Retired Medic here.

 

No but after this winter I might look like one, minus the glittery skin. Been nothing but straight grey skies for over a week and a half.

Here's a pic of the head unit. I painted the bezel, shifter surround, and window switch and lock surrounds magnetic gray metallic.

 

I made this sub box out of some leftover 3/4 birch plyboard I had sitting around.

 

And my dog. Now for that bedrack. I've got a few kayaks that need a way to get to the river. Spring is coming my friends!

 

This is it. Sun was down so I was able to come outside without risk of injury.

I like everything except the seats. Too soft on the color for me

 

Not my first choice but $225 for the entire Katzkin package was too much for me to pass up. It does look better in person, but honestly as long as the shit wasnt pink or purple, anything beats the stock cloth on the sr5.

 

Yeah I def agree with that. They went cheap on material. I used to hate my seats when I first got the truck but its amazing how comfortable they are now just with a good set of covers

 

I like my seats....

 

Yeah the TRD sports and offroad are awesome. Sr5, not so much.

 

When I road in Gideon's I didn't care to much for them

 

This be the inspiration for my bed rack. Mount some Yakima kayak cradles on the top, and should be good to go.

That will look good, and for future reference a t nut fits nicely in the bed rails. Fastenal carries them

 

I got some from Grizzly Industrial. Pack of 4 for $3.99, plus shipping. I got a quote on some steel, 3 21' lengths of schedule 40 round tubing and 10' of 4" angle iron, gonna run around $110. The guy owns a trailer-making shop and has all the equipment to bend and notch. I might see what he'll charge to pre-bend and notch everything if I can give him the angles and lengths.

When I made my tire carrier I was in a hurry and they didn't have any in stock so I used some bolts that I had to grind the tops off a bit to get them to work

 

So now the truck is paid for and I can't get someone to go pick it up. Haha, wow what a nightmare. Called a company who quoted me $890.... I said deal!!!! They set up my reservation and I haven't heard since. I keep trying to call them and they don't answer, and it says my call can't be completed as dialed... I've been getting the run around with them for 2 days now and I had enough.

Called another company and they said that the company I made a reservation with has my truck online at $750, and apparently that's to cheap so no one will pick it up. The girl I talked to said it prolly gonna take at least $850 to get it there, and her fee is $235...

So now I'm up from $890 to $1,085 and still don't know if that will get it here. FML!!!!!!
