Possibly, but I doubt the rock warrior sticker and bilstein shocks make it any better than a regular Tundra. "Rock Warrior" package look like it comes with a bunch of fancy interior/exterior options. Most of which would be destroyed in the rocks.

And the Tacoma TRD T|X Baja edition is any better then a regular TRD OR Taco?

I see where you are getting at but we are talking the same kind of trucks here with fancy schmancy graphics and awesome rims on them being the difference.

Of course the Baja edition is better. The Baja has WAY bigger graphics plastering the sides of the truck!! Instead of just an "off road" sticker, it says Baja twice! One huge Baja, and a little Baja under TX.....I dont know what TX stands for but I bet its amazing:cool: A much better package than your standard offroad edition IMO. Huge stickers are easily worth the extra $5000 in my book. Dont forget the upgraded bilstiens as well!

    OH SHIT!

Dude I forgot all about the big BAJA stickers which are 5 feet tall! My deepest most sincerest apologies. The Baja Taco sure does take the cake :D

Yeah, anything that says Baja must be good. The bigger the better! Too bad they couldn't have made the Baja sticker go from the front fender all the way to the end of the bed. That would have eliminated the smaller Baja sticker under TX. The second, much larger Baja sticker could have been placed smack dab on the hood, making it visible every time you drive. Hell, a third Baja could be place on the top of the cab!!! Then helicopters and folks living on second stories would know...BAJA!!!

IIRC - early testing (as seen in many auto and truck magazines) had spy photos of the BAJA with a large sticker covering the entire surface of the truck.

The big-dogs at TMC back in Japan feared that sticker added too much horsepower, making the BAJA Tacoma faster than the LFA Supercar.

So they had to scale it back.

Baja haters are so stupid. Grow up...

Not a single relevant thing to say. It's sad that people feel better about what they have by bashing something they don't. Baja is better than TRD. If you feel like 5k is too much $, that sucks.. Make more money. All you genius lurkers never factor in installation cost or the fact your aftermarket gear isn't covered.

A sticker is a fkn sticker... Most Baja owners take it off. To each their own, respect other Tacoma owners... Chumps.

Exactly dont know why the hate towrads the baja, I actually think its an awesome truck. I guess people view it as the red headed step child or wish they had one.
Also the whole "skewp and stickers add horsepower", thats old and way over played its not even funny anymore its like your mama jokes :)

I know!! I was blind, thought I had a great vehicle, then I saw the light... :p

I agree though, full size vs mid size is an unfair comparison.

Who cares if people bash your truck? Just enjoy it.

I have my opinion about other people's trucks too. It's an opinion. I hope you don't lose it because I don't like your baja either.

Mid size, Tacoma takes the cake IMO. (In the North American market)

But truck of the year, all trucks included, no way.

(opinion disclaimer: that was my opinion^)

I don't really care about how they rated it to be honest. I don't buy my vehicles based on where they finish in a publication. As far as prices not sure where you're looking. I made the 7k comment based on st least for my region a 2013 Ram 1500 crew outdoorsman starting at 40k.

Additionally, regarding the Baja haters I think some just prefer to spend that same money and so the truck they want, thats all. Nothing wrong with the Baja although I wouldn't buy one. I spent the same as that package costs and got wheels, tires, lift, UCAs, satoshi, exhaust, tint, side steps, wet okoles, head unit, subwoofer and a few other things I'm likely forgetting. Installation included. I personally dont hate on anyone who buys a the Baja if they like the truck and don't want to pick parts out themselves and and want something right off the showroom floor than there's nothing wrong with it. For those that don't care about that they would just rather make their money go further and pick out their own stuff. I think that's where the "hate" comes in and not people being jealous they can't afford it

I don't think anyone is openly hating a tacoma with a TX or Baja sticker, but making fun of

    - comparing a Taco to a Full Size
    - stickers in general, even though most of us have them
    - general marketing from companies (like Toyota)

I overheard a salesman explaining a 2011 TX to a potential buyer as "Texas Edition" and this was in Ala-god-damn-bama.

If I could afford a BAJA, I'd remove the A's and roll with B J -- so everyone would know I like BJ and the Bear, that awesome show from my childhood.

Installation costs? Sir, most of us "genius lurkers" will spend entire days laying over a sea of nuts, bolts, and cotter pins just to install the parts ourselves. No cost there.

Oh the factory warranty covers your suspension? I don't remember the last time I read a thread about billies, fox, king or icon suspension parts breaking on the road. And before you go there, driving your truck off road pretty much voids any warranty you may have with the dealership. So why hassle with that?

You drive a Baja, congratulations...you're richer than I am. But anybody can throw money at something until its perfect. It takes something else to do the work and research yourself, not to mention how much more rewarding it is. So I feel like I have every right to my opinion.

Baja sticker and fake bead locks generated the loss for the tacoma. :D:D

A TRD OR would have been less pricey and netted the same results so it could have been a win for the Yota.

Hey man, I did not say one bad thing about the TRD Baja. I dont like the stickers, but I say the same about the Raptors sticker decals. I think the baja is a great truck.

Yes, I do feel like 5K is too much to spend on graphics, wheels, moderate suspension upgrade.

Make more money? No thanks man. Perfectly happy working 6 months out of the year and snowboarding 100+ days in Jackson hole, fishing a ton, eating off the elk and deer I kill, and traveling the rest of my time off. Money can't make you happy, taking time for yourself and living life on a decent wage can. Hope you don't have to work everyday to pile up money in your account only to find out when your 60 that you have wasted your youth.

I just got home from snowboarding a fresh powder day in Jackson. You?

Oh, and there are no installation costs when you do stuff for yourself.
