Looking to do the same with some quickfists I bought. Did you use any special screws or did you just screw the the mounting brackets right in?

Not me but I went with rivets and would recommend it. The plastic is flimsy and I didnt want to worry about screws loosening or backing out over time.

Thanks for the info. I assume I would need a rivet gun then.

My approach was to cut out a wood form that was shaped to the backside of the plastic. Then I adhered 1/2" dense foam to the wood. I then put the foam side against the plastic and drove the screws through the plastic, through the foam and then into the wood. This way there won't be any rattles and the screws have something solid to bite into.

ToyTec ultimate lift, LR UCAs, TRD gen 1 CAI, TRD cat-back, bull bar, anytime fog lights, lighted 4x4 switch, factory SS step tubes, factory interior lighting package, factory VIP 3200 alarm, FJ TRD center caps, rear diff breather relocate, tint, bug deflector, Weather Tech liners
Finally switched out my top-coil spacers for ToyTec ultimate lift coil-overs in front. I also installed matching Bilstein 5100s in the rear, Light Racing UCAs, and Spidertrax wheel spacers. Over the weekend I changed both lower ball joints (loads of fun ) and both tie rod ends. I was hoping to install the ECGS bushing in the front diff while everything was torn apart, but the circlip that goes on the inboard side of the driveshaft is back-ordered at my dealer. That will be next week's project . . .

Yes, I am! Mainly on my driver's side, but I'm also experiencing a little paint loss on the passenger's side. As you can see, the driver's side is so exposed it's formed surface rust.

I just screwed the bracket in with the supplied screws. It seems pretty solid, but I can also imagine the screws pulling through the plastic over time. I'll likely reinforce them with an approach similar to la0d0g's.

All I did was find some small bolts that matched the same size screws that came with the maglite clips and secured them with wingnuts on the other side. Have had no issues at all and very sturdy. Recently though, one of the clips broke. Got kicked on accident.

Finally ordered my much awaited tonneau cover and now I have to get rid of it cause I ordered the wrong one. 15% restocking fee plus shipping = I'm fucked. So I'm hoping to save some money if anyone is interested in this- http://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/pts/3532485081.html

    Thanks for looking

You could always use Rivnuts too. That gives you the option of removal/replacement.
