Nope, doesn't have a lot of features the one you posted does. It barley fits after removing a ton of plastic tho.

well, i'm going for it. just ordered the uniden 880. it's about 3/4'' wider and deeper, but it's also about 1/4'' thinner than the 680. figured i'm gonna be cutting like crazy anyway.......

i just really liked the NOAA weather reciever and built in antenna tuner. should be here friday :)

may have to hammer it into place :p

i just ordered it off of Amazon. if i want more out of it, i have a great electronics/CB shop right down the road. i've brought stuff there for repair before. great service work. the guy really knows his stuff, but i can't bring myself to spend $50 extra for the same radio there

That'd be nice. if it was, i'd have gotten it from him. I buy all of my antennas from him (i have a bad habit of snapping them in two) and have talked to him about working on radios. he's an older fellow, and says he hasn't done anything but repair work to CBs for the last 10 years :(

may just try to tackle it myself. we've got a really good electronics lab with more equipment than i know what to do with.

finished up the last bit of welding tonight on the axle and frame. paint's drying overnight, then tomorrow i'll bolt on the spring collars and finally the links. then after replacing a taillight wire i toasted with the welder, it's test drive time! :D

the tabs in the center and lower outer sides of the axle are for the links, and the 4 cylindrical pieces on top of the axle are what the spring collars sleve over and get bolted to.

    Looking forward to the trailer!

Also I love my Uinden 520xl pro. Doesn't have an swr meter but is a great radio. Never had an issue with it.
