Eric what did you use to chop your exhaust behind the axle?

 

Dang it's a good thing they don't know I'm almost 33, I would be like the dirty uncle! I seriously thought with the way they all gave you shit that you were in your 50's or something.

Sawz All. If I get to wiring it will be on Sunday. If you want to bring me some new metal blades for my Dewalt Sawz All (since we dulled the last one trying to cut through your bumper ends) we can cut off your Exhaust end too.

OK today got the winch box relocated. After 2.5 hours of parts running finally got enough 2 gauge wire and ends to get it started. 2Ga wire these days is not cheap and especially when you need 8' of each.



Took a while to figure out the mount location but fit right in there nice and tight.



Thought I had long enough wire runs to go from the box to the inside of the cab but I didn't. So the ends are mounted to the right wires and next weekend I will work on the wires in to the cab switches. But the winch is back up an running on the remote for now.

 

Rockgecko03 (Ben) came by this afternoon with the finishing parts needed for the new bed rack. We mocked up the hi lift and the Rotopax mounts so that we could get some measurements. After that he finished welding up the pieces and making some refinements. Now it is up to me to drill some additional holes that are needed and then grind it all down to get it ready for Powder Coat.

This pic will make more sense when you see it in the future.

"remove all screws, rubber and lights

preheat the oven to 300*...when it hit 300*, turn it off...put headlight on a piece of cardboard or something (something that won't melt or burn)....

leave in there for 7-10 mins...take a flat head screwdriver and maybe some pliers and slowly separate a corner of the headlight...start with a corner then as you start to separate the pieces, the rest will separate easier and easier as you're able to get better grip on the two pieces..

remember to watch out for a few tabs that you will want to make sure you don't break...you'll see them

when you put them back together...first clean up the area as much as you can...you can either remove all the old sealant or clean it up a bit and add a bit of silicone sealant to help create a watertight seal...heat up the two pieces and put back together...put back in the oven for a couple more minute to heat up the sealant again a bit (helps allow you to push the two pieces together better)..take out and clamp together while it dries.

when the pieces are apart, follow directions with the retro kit...take your time and have a plan set out in your head or on paper before completing this...don't just wing it
