Lol. No worries. I work a 24 on Saturdays so I'm used to not being able to do stuff. It does come in handy if I want to get out of family stuff though :D

Last tank my light came on at 220 miles

But my odometer is a little off, some off that driving was in 4hi and i let it warm up 5-10 minutes before i drive it everytime in the winter. Before the new tires i was lucky to get 17mpg. So its probably pretty low now.

Yesterday's fell through when the dealer said they would need to put 3000.00+ into truck before selling it so a 2003 with 86 K miles and a undercoated frame was going to be 14 ~ 15 K... I told them to keep it and figured I would just keep looking.

Then later today I got a call on a truck I wanted but that some guy on the west coast had put a deposit on. That financing fell through and I was next in line so got an unexpected phone call today with the message, "truck is yours if you want it."

so if the truck is 11 years old with 33K miles, would you just go ahead and replace the timing belt, water pump etc based upon years in service ?

I'd drive it for alittle bit . You did just buy it . Plus if something like that fails in the first month . I'd make the dealer eat the repair cost .
So are you going to wheel the runner or the taco ?

My only thought is if it does fail where will you be. In your driveway is not a likely option or maybe that would be my luck

Well.... I've put a lot of time and work into the Runner and its completely armored. Just needs lockers so that will be my go-to rig for the trails. I just know me though so I don't think I will be able to holdout too long before starting in on the Taco.

Ya it could end up looking like that. I was trying to go for a deeper lip up top tho. I can also make bends like that in the mesh, i have a 10' break for bending thin gauge metal.

Nope but i like making them so i might make a few. I started a 2012 satoshi last fall. Got the fiberglass an majority of the bondo done and never ordered the mesh to finish it. I was kind of dreaming big when i got the grill, since homertaco doesn't sell 2012+ grills i wanted to see if i could come up with a good way to make them. I know someone who is pretty much a fiberglass master, he builds custom boats and has even made a full mold for a 100% custom hull, so he is full of knowledge. I wanted to build a prototype and make a mold, that way it would be very easy to produce them. Doing a 2012 satoshi from scratch requires alot of work. I had the guy take a look at it and he made me realize making a mold would be alot of work and alot of money, it would only make sense to do it this way if i had alot of demand for the grills an it would require alot of time.

The awesome thing about the 2012+ grills is the inner grill can easily be separated from the outer grill unlike the factory grills from 05-11. So if i could come up with a mold and make the inner grills from scratch i wouldn't even have to buy a grill to make the satoshi.
