TRD option on 2nd gen ?

Ive been looking at new tacomas and the new ones with the trd i havent seen with the locking diff button. why do they not have it or have they put the button somewhere else? Or maybe they have it and im just going crazy.

 

Have you been looking at the TRD sport? or the TRD Off road? The TRD Sport does not have the rear locking diff.

 

yeah the sport is what it is. why dont it have even tho its trd?

 

They have an LSD in the back on the sport...More "street" oriented. The TRD offroad has the rear locker.

 

Yeah but remember there are a good number of visual differences as well between the sport and off-road.

 

Oh yeah....I wasn't listing ALL the differences- OP was asking about the locker...I still get confused trying to tell ALL the differences between the two...and I drive a TRD Sport.

 

No i know you knew my man, no worries!!! I think the outside visual differences are the hood scoop, painted rear bumper and front grill surround, painted door handles and mirrors, 17" wheels and I think thats it for the outside.

 

That sounds about right. I know my truck is color keyed everything with the 17 inch alloys and the scoop.
