I am an IDIOT!!

I sat down on the drivers seat with a pencil in my pocket. It made a 1/2 inch hole in the interior. SUCK!!!!

Any ideas?

My interior is tan. What would it cost to fix, should I ust get some seat covers?

 

did it leave a 1/2 whole in you.. haha

 

find some local upholstry shop to see if they can fix it...seat covers will only make the problem get worse

i burned a hole with a cigarette in the wifes honda a couple of years ago....took it to maaco and got the guy there to fix it.......and the price wasnt bad at all, and it looked new again.

 

a good excuse to get some seat covers.

 

Just use some thread and a needle and sew it up best you can. I wouldent pay to have it done. The price youd pay getting it fixed you could sew it and get some good covers.... Just my 2 cents

Someone should be able to fix that right up for around $50 to $75 dollars. Stop at any dealerships detail dept. They will have someone they use to fix interiors.

Thanks everybody. I will probably just get it fixed and see how it comes out and then possibly go for some seat covers.

 

just get a seat cover they are cheep and you can probably find a sick looking one

Put the pencil in the other pocket and repeat....then at least the holes will be symmetrical.

 

go to local autozone, they have the stuff to patch the hole, i remember it is not expensive. Hope this help

 

time to upgrade to leather ...

 

Somewhere I have seen a product that you would tuck into the hole and spreadout so it covers the holes from below, then iron or adheres to it. Like those old blue jean knee patches your mom used to iron over the holes in your knees......

You may not need Step one (which is for a burned cigarette hole) or the shaved fibers step since you puntured the fabric, it should fix up very nicely.

Fill the hole in the car seat with the foam rubber material.

Cut a piece of material from the iron-on clothing patch. The piece should be just slightly larger than the size of the hole you are repairing.

Insert the cut piece of clothing patch into the hole with the glue side facing up. Make sure that the patch is flat and has no wrinkles.

Take the razor blade and shave some excess seat fibers from the excess material on the underside of your car seat.

Place the fibers you shaved off of the underside of your car and place them on the patch you have inserted in the burn hole. Make sure the entire burn hole is covered completely.

Iron the area over the burn hole until the fibers completely cover the burn hole and patch. Add additional fibers from the underside of your seat if necessary.

Use the razor blade to gently shave away any excess fibers you added as a result of the fixing process. When you are done, the fibers should blend in with the rest of the seat and the burn hole should no longer be visible.
