    Ok, got a couple of ideas to float past ya.
    #1: Do some research on light shields or possibly integrating a continuous one into the design of your roof rack. I have been able to find a bit here and there. I'm sure there is more to be found. Also, consider what pattern of light you would mount forward facing, as this would likely play a substantial role.

    #2: This one may or may not appeal to you and will certainly piss off the g/f (you white trash bastard you); plasti-derp the hood. The flat black should substantially reduce the amount of reflected light vs. a gloss hood. However, I have read that white is one of the better colors if it is painted; although I'm not sure I buy into it.

    Hmmm..... White Plasti-derp????

    Ok this I feel stupid asking this but what is a light shield? And as far as dipping my hood I've seen someone do the "v" section of the hood and I wasn't a huge fan of it.
