payroll tax payments...and the later refund (if applicable) is a ruse by the fed govt.

wage earners should be paid in gross...and then have to pay quartlery taxes for services and entitlements. Something tells me...that under such a system...the sheeple in America would change their voting habits. :D

    However...

I am a fan of replacing the income tax structure with a consumption tax. Much more equatible system for all. And exemptions could simply be made for certain goods/services.

    Power To The People!!!

And the best part of the consumption tax would be that all the money that switches hands on the black market would help offset the tax burden paid by working folks. As it stands, if I sold you $10,000 worth of pot, the government cannot get their hands on that transaction and take their cut. The only entities who would benefit would be the states I buy items from (sans internet purchases) who gain from their local sales tax.

Remove the income tax and incorporate that tax in to consumer purchases, and all of a sudden the government will see a huge increase in their revenue from the black market and "under the table" earners. Whether or not they know what to do with that income is a different beast all together, but the money is there.

Paying off debt, finishing the landscaping and patio and a vacation. Building an inground fire pit with cement bench seating which should be cool. No money for taco, bikeor mt bike this year. I am one of those guys that pays way too much to the government to get a big return....:(
