Old Man I'm a order some springs this weekend hopefully. Can you help me install my ucas and springs next week possibly? Starting school soon so this might be my last chance in a while to finish up the front end of my truck (for now).

Speaking of fishin holes. Has anyone been up in Bowden canyon lately? Still open? I've been thinking about heading up there to check it out, been several years.

Down Pamo rd past Ramona dump to the old Orosco ridge shooting area. Top of the hill go left. Dead ends at a gate a few miles in. There is a pond in there. Google earth ought to show it.

    Doubt it's legal anymore tho.

Maybe give the frog pond a shot out past eagle peak off 78, pine hills rd. tons of bluegill in the summer for kids but I've stuck a few decent bass in there too. Used to be a great camp spot too but they recently put a gate in on Eagle Peak rd, now gotta walk a hundred yards or so.

I wish my truck was working, I've been trying to scout an easier way to fish Ramona.

The gate off Pamo Rd might be closed this time of year.

Went to the Cuyamacas this morning with a eight-mile hiking route planned around Dyar Springs but there was too much snow! I also didn't have the proper hiking shoes. I ended up hiking about three miles at the lower trails (4000 foot level; Dyar is 4700 feet). It was 24 degrees when I parked around 0730 and a steamy 34 degrees when I left around 10a. I parked at the Sweetwater trailhead, just past Green Valley campground.

Another Taco pulled in as I was about to leave. He had a mountain bike in the back. He did a u-turn and drove off.

Did you slide the truck around in the snow at least?
