so im starting with least expensive and working towards more expensive as i come closer to paying it off.

Here are some as i bought it ones.

I decided the stock horn was not loud enough and put in a horn i found at Auto Zone for around $30. All I did was remove the stock horn at the press in clip. mounted the compressor where i felt most comfortable and then for the wiring i used two crimp on quick connects. After about a week i actually needed the horn to avoid an accident and later found out the stock horn fuse blew...... so i went up to the need size for the air horn. Sorry for no during pics but it was before joining TW.

Next i worked on how to install my CB. I wired into a constant 12 volt source not a keyed source due to not wanting to have to have the key in every time i want to use it. I found all the spots i liked would not fit my older Cobra 25 and decided the empty space below the radio was a choice. Pulled the center console and realized it was such a tight fit i needed no mounting screws. It dose how ever stick just far enough out some dont like it but if you remove the one knob it dose not affect the shifter at park. Again before i joined TW so sorry no pics of during. I ran the cable for the antenna through the passenger side floor moulding and through the storage compartment before going through a rubber cap to the bed and mounted in a hole i drilled. (I now want to change this position).

And now i had the drive to change the mount of the fire stik. Stopped at a local truck and picked up a mirror mount and decided i didnt want chrome color in the truck bed with the bed coating. So i disassembled and sanded before painting and adding a clear coat of satin. Im not going to use the peice to sandwich it onto the bed. Instead im going to drill and tap a spot so i can thread the bolts into position and not worry about needing two wrenches. Also i am using the bolts that came with the mount as well as some blue thread locker for future removal but not allowing loosening while driving.

so it got dark and super cold with the wind so i let the paint set over night before installing. i got 3 of the 4 bolts threaded in and had troubles with the last so i decided i only needed the 3. Followed up with some touch up due to some chipping, and clear coated in how it sat.

First few pics are the cable that got caught where i originally had the antenna.......DERP....... but should be fixed sunday if all goes well with the help from VegasNick.

I met VegasNick a while back at a SinCityWFJs event, nice guy. I have my antenna leading around through my passenger door too, and mounted in almost the same spot with that same bracket, (but not painted, and rusting...). Someday soon I need to route it to the bed properly, and mount it better.

i used some sand paper i had laying around and a can of flat black i had (Valspar) then a coat of satin clear

my cable runs into the passenger storage then through the rubber hole cover before coming up between the bed and cab to the antenna.

ya started with the simple idea to move the cb and try the alarm mod(didnt work think i got the wrong wire) and then removed the sirius radio that came with the truck and found out it wasnt even powered. Then decided i wanted to paint the center while i had it out. wanted to be my own custom look. BTW if you ever pull out the O/D button on the first gen do not lose the lil white block. I did and now i have to mod a O/D switch tomorrow before/during/after doing a mod for a tw memeber.

so all and all i fixed what carmax said they fixed..... the wire twisted together and a zip tie keeping it from coming apart and tape to cover it, then i moved the cb out and lowered the radio and inserted the cubby again, removed the sirius radio that was pre installed from previous owner, painted bezel, 3rd brake light customized, cut a hole to run the ipod hook up into the lower center console, put everything back together and called it a night.... but gotta put the passenger seat back in first thing tomorrow.

Did a oil change, plug change and k and n filter. Broke the bolt for the spark plug coil and decided to go to my old Lowes store and buy new bolts. Changed those and noticed a huge change in the way it responds now. Had the smart idea to label the coils and put the old spark plugs in the e3 plug boxes and labeled what plug. Started with 1 at the front and ended with 4 at the back.
