Way too many parts. All I wanted to share was shit sucks and I want an apartment.

Thank you for your input, you are always insightful :). Good role model (later years) too!

I lived at home longer than I wanted to, in part because I was getting an education and in part I was a fuckup :) but what I can say about that is that once you are in a position to do it and never have to think about going back all this will have been worth it.

You have to live and learn from your mistakes. There are some things i wish I have never did in life but i learned from them and now know that I was a stupid ass when I was younger:D. I still do stupid things now in my life and Im like really I did that lol. But I'm alive and well so thats good.

It is hard. I never had someone in my family that was a drunk but I had friends that had one of there family members and it was really hard to see. But im glad your sober and alive dude. Props for manning up to what you were doing and taking control. I know it must of been super hard but you did it:)

You think she has is good I get anything I want from her. I ask for it I get it (yes and that too)

Alex idk how you do it but I wouldn't date a girl with all that baggage just like Miguel. But that's just me. I mean you don't have to blow all your money getting a PhD. You can always go to school later in life. Your like the youngest one on here. Why not just work work work then go from there? I wish I just got my associates degree. I don't want my BS (bullshit) degree I just want to work full time

I agree wth dave. I would just work, work, and live at home. Save your money dude. Its the best way. Trust me I know first hand. I can deff relate to the baggage thing. She had ton of it and it sucked but if you loved the one your with then it doesn't matter at all. Sometimes I just took all the problems she had and baggage out of my head cause I loved her that much but then again, after a year, i couldnt take it.

Ok i will admit and You know that where i am now i couldn't have done it with out my Family and my friends. Like my parents paid my (list below) but now it's on me. I will say I'm cheap I really am. I'd rather spend my money i put away each week on my girl. Each check I pull $25 out and put it in my kitchen draw. That's the money i spend on her. I cant even spend 40 bucks on a pair of shoes for myself. I want till work gives me the yearly voucher.
    -Rent
    -Gas
    -Cars (not taco)
    -Phone
    -Food
    -Handed money (saved)

I told my parents last summer they had to stop because i needed to learn, Yea a little late but I love living on my own. I dont have much left over each month but i am saving.

Hell the way i see it I don't want a house. I want one of them Town Houses

I do it because I love her. She has a beautiful soul and it pains me to see her living how she is. I can help her and I am helping her every day. Moving out is just the next step for us.

I don't care if I'm the youngest here. I want to do school all at once to get everything done. That way I can be making more money sooner. No sense busting my ass for years at minimum wage just to go back to school and have more bills, when I can work harder now and have an awesome life a few years sooner.

I have to pay to get my phd. That is the only way to get a job in psychology that pays.

I don't like to work for others. Anything I want, I set myself to it and its done. How many record labels were launched by 15 year olds? How many 16 year olds are driving around $21,000 trucks that they bought themselves from their hard work? I can give you an answer; not many at all. I don't waste time doing shit I don't like to do. That's why I'll be working an enjoyable job and retiring early, when you will be working in a shop, busting your knuckles and freezing your ass off in the winter in your 50's and probably 60's. This is my life choice and that's it. It doesn't pay up front, but the more schooling I do now, the easier my life will become.

You can do whatever the fuck you want, just don't tell me how to plan my future. I've never told you how you should approach school. I'm not taking advice from a kid a few years older than myself.

I want to like you Dave. I'm really trying, but this shit you always pull is making it difficult to say the least. Live your life, not mine

I gotta stop going to work so I can keep up with this thread. I missed all the talk about tools and beer!

Does anyone use Autozone's tools? I've bought some of their sockets. They seem to be alright, also lifetime warranty like Craftsman. I've broken plenty of Craftsman tools, some are easy to break, like the 1/4" ratchets.
