''TRD'' stubby antenna

Was wondering if anybody has one of these and if so how are they?

Would like to get one for it's looks but not sure for reception

 

I have this exact antenna on my 2012 TRD Sport , If you get it be prepared to wait 3 weeks as the seller is in China. It's an awesome antenna, I mostly listen to XM radio but when I do listen to AM or FM radio the reception is pretty good. Only thing I can complain about is the antennas appearance after 5 months is the South Texas Sun. Lol,. The Carbon Fiber part (middle) still looks good but the black part above and below is turning a copper/ gold color. Probably going to mask off the carbon fiber section and either plasti derp it or use some VHT Hi Temp paint to make it look new again, only thing is I will lose the white TRD print on the antenna. It will still look good on the truck. I say go for it.

is it flexible or no? (not that it would really hit anything, other than off roading(

 

I have it. It's not flexible at all. I love the thing. Obviously the stock antenna is better but it's still a great product. I got it because I got tired of the long one hitting things while off roading.

 

Ok cool, thanks. I hate the look of the stock one, and most the time i am listening to my ipod not radio. I may order one, they look good and wont hit much at all even off roading.

Sucks about the TRD though, that what I like about it, makes it unique and oem looking

like how if the power goes out in the winter you can just set every thing out side and use the generator for stuff other than running the freezer and fridge? haha and all the food and drinks will stay good and cold for weeks on end?

Hahaha, nah that sucks when you forget a delcious case of liquid steaks in your truck....cans can survive but bottles, it gets messy.... but the lame cold jokes in regards to the stubby... lol
