Not sure where to go to get it tuned. Two guys on here said they had a SWR Meter and could help but they both live a little far from me. If you guys know of somewhere a little closer to Norfolk I could go I'd appreciate the info!

I went with a cheaper Cobra 19DX model, extremely pleased with the install though. Guy on here did a pretty good write up and I only busted one knuckle :censored: getting it done!

Thats what I am using, 19 DX IV. What antenna are you using and where did you mount it?

I pretty much did this http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/223025-hidden-cb-install-pics.html and it went pretty well, only I haven't painted the antenna mount yet so I'm going to have to take it off and paint it, then put it back on. Eric had the mount to me really quick despite me being cheap and not getting the expedited shipping. I'd tell you to swing by and check it out in person but then I noticed you're in Charlotte.

oh cool, I have pretty much the same setup. I mounted the CB to the side of the center console, next to my knee.

I was having trouble with my 3' antenna, couldn't get it below 3.0:1. Switched to my 4' Wilson Flex and it is working great now.

edit: I am really happy with Eric's mount. I ordered it Friday evening and he got it sent out almost right away, and on my doorstep Monday

I really liked the hidden aspect of this install because I'm trying to make my build look as OEM as possible. I put a couple of sockmonkey's decals on my truck and actually had a Tundra owner ask me if it was an upgrade package... I told him yes. :D

Not looking good on me making it right now.. Funds are pretty low and would put me in a serious bind. Hopefully something short of a miracle happens and I win the lottery.

Google a place called signal communication in I think Chesapeake. They did my tuning of my antennas and also peaked my radio.

It's hard to find you have to drive around the back of the truck stop. Go over the train tracks and its a little trailer tucked in the back to the right. But like I said they know their shit back there.

I called those guys probably 15 or 16 times today and just kept getting the machine saying they were busy and to call back... last call of the day I notice that the message says they are open Tuesday through Saturday... Needless to say I'm going to try again later in the week.
